@SangitaMyska @DeborahMeaden I am old enough to remember the Daily Mail is anti-semitic. We remember their hatchet job on Ed Milliband's father which used the trope of Dual alliances.

Trial by jury has been a cornerstone of our justice system for more than 800 years. That is, until David Lammy showed up. Tonight we're forcing a vote in Parliament to make him change course.

@jon_trickett Tony Blair is doing precisely what Larry Ellison sponsors him to do. Blair is nothing but a Puppet.

Apparently Tony Blair telling people that Starmer was wrong to hesitate over the attack on Iran. We don’t need any lessons from the Warmonger in Iraq. A prolonged period from of silence from him would be most welcome

@SkyNews @joncraig Those of us old enough to remember the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq will remember the concern over Equipment our Armed forces had access to. Britain is not equipped to fight any offensive war, @Conservatives Austere efficiency leaves us with limited capabilities.

@SkyNews @joncraig Badenoch is truly awful at this. Since 2010 the Conservatives cut back the investments into our armed forces, That was a repeat of the Major government under investment. All That opposed to the US which invests heavily into it's defence industry at a huge publicly held debt.

@MrTibblesNewEra @LiamFox As Defense Secretary in 2010 Liam Fox said "We don't have the money as a country to protect ourselves against every potential future threat" "The Russians are not going to come over the European plain any day soon". So yeah Crimean annexation.

Perhaps we were waiting to see if we had to help defend Canada, Greenland or Panama. Ever thought of that? @LiamFox

@SaulStaniforth We do not vote for the US President or members of Congress, SO YES Britain should be free to allocate it's resources independently. Britain did not go to their Vietnam war, the US did not come to our Falklands War.

Susanna Reid asks, should the UK have a foreign policy independent of the United States. What does it say about a country where this question is even being asked? #GMB

I question the wisdom of Israel's and the USA's attack on Iran. I can see how perma-chaos in Iran favours the political longevity of Netanyahu given the upcoming Knesset elections. But Iran had a water shortage, a dying Ayatollah and an increasing internal demand for change.

Ed Davey, "We rightly expect our armed forces to protect British citizens around the world in crisis like this" "But that includes tax exiles like Isabel Oakeshott who mock ordinary people who stay in the UK and pay our taxes here" "So as we protect THEM, does the PM agree that it's only right for tax exiles to start paying taxes to support our armed forces, just like the rest of us do"

@paulmasonnews But at least he is predictable. Unlike our present PM who has been bounced into giving the US permission to use British facilities. This is the second regime change the US has forced this year.

"Unquestionably blindly following the Americans is, in my view, the wrong thing to do.. I'd pass legislation that said military action could be taken if.. the lawful case for it was made.. there was a viable objective &.. you got consent of the commons" When's the vote, Keir?

The problem here is … Vetoes and yesterday's events make the UN irrelevant. Two Governments decided to attack a third to maintain a power imbalance, The victim then targeted those neighbours who host it's attackers. But the USA has a veto and so the UN is pointless.
UK at the UN 🇬🇧🇺🇳@UKUN_NewYork

We strongly condemn Iranian strikes across the region. Regional stability remains a priority. The protection of civilians and full respect for international law is critical. The UK is working with partners to deter further escalation and return to a diplomatic process.

@JamesCleverly Mr Cleverly, as Foreign secretary what actions did you undertake to Prevent Iran's enrichment program? Seems to me this has been long road to war since Donnie dementia cancelled the JCPOA unilaterally. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politi…

@MirrorPolitics @Keir_Starmer, you can't even get Donald Trump to stick to a decision about the Chago's Islands. Nobody can negotiate in good faith with the US whilst he is president. I can be critical of the Iranian regime but there are no honest brokers to negotiate with.
