Since 2010 the Conservatives cut back the investments into our armed forces, That was a repeat of the Major government under investment.
All That opposed to the US which invests heavily into it's defence industry at a huge publicly held debt.

I question the wisdom of Israel's and the USA's attack on Iran.
I can see how perma-chaos in Iran favours the political longevity of Netanyahu given the upcoming Knesset elections.
But Iran had a water shortage, a dying Ayatollah and an increasing internal demand for change.

The problem here is … Vetoes and yesterday's events make the UN irrelevant.
Two Governments decided to attack a third to maintain a power imbalance, The victim then targeted those neighbours who host it's attackers.
But the USA has a veto and so the UN is pointless.
