BREAKING: A wild interview on CNN just moments ago. The mother-in-law of the man detained for questioning spoke live from the scene of an ongoing court-authorized search in Rio Rico, Arizona.
She stated clearly that neither she nor her family knows Nancy Guthrie:
“We don’t know her at all. I don’t know who she is.”
She emphasized that they have cooperated fully, allowing officers to search the home and repeatedly saying, “We have nothing to hide.”
The woman described the initial entry as forceful, claiming officers broke the door and detained her son-in-law (Carlos Palazuelos) without presenting a warrant at first, while he was playing video games.
A vehicle on the property, belonging to a family member has drawn law enforcement interest too. Palazuelos works as a delivery driver in Tucson, where Guthrie was last known to be.
