BREAKING: The Department of Justice said the Philippines may surrender a suspected or arrested person to an international court or tribunal under Republic Act 9851, following a recent attempt at Senate to arrest Sen. Bato dela Rosa through a warrant of arrest from the ICC. “Yes, same position. Under RA 9851, we may surrender a suspected or arrested person in the Philippines to the appropriate international court or tribunal. The other mode is extradition,” DOJ spokesperson Atty.
