Two of my friends have passed away in the last few days.
And it’s been sitting heavy on my heart.
Somewhere along the way, people started acting like not making it to retirement age is normal. Like dying in your 40s or early 50s is just “how life goes.”
It’s not normal.
50 is not old.
50 is not supposed to be the finish line.
50 is supposed to be the chapter where you finally get to breathe a little.
Moments like this remind me how important it is to live on purpose, love people out loud, and stop putting off the things that matter most.
Praying for their families today… and hugging life a little tighter myself.

Little bit of a sneak preview of my new game room.
The entertainment center I bought over a month ago showed up late Saturday evening.
Pulled my consoles out of the totes and put everything on the shelves. We've been in this house for a month and I finally get to put this room together. The wait was agonizing.
It'll probably take another week or 2 before we're 100% finished.
But this is the new entertainment center. And yes, that's an electric fireplace in the middle. High probability the heat will never get turned on.😂

Each of them accepted the 50 Yard Challenge and went out to mow 50 FREE lawns for the elderly, disabled, single parents, veterans, first responders, and active-duty service members. The black shirts they’re wearing represent completion, a symbol of their commitment, hard work, and heart to serve. And they earned brand new lawn equipment—a mower, weed eater, and blower—for doing it.
