I'm building the travel app that I wished existed. I used to plan trips with 50 browser tabs and Google Sheets or worse, trying to figure out what to prompt or even worse drowning all night in TripAdvisor reviews. So I 'm going all in on Takeoff. Start with trip vibes or a travel video you love, and it creates itineraries in seconds. Still early, but here's a peek:

Moved to SF in Sept and have been house hunting for myself and office hunting on behalf of portcos. The average home I looked at in Q4 sold within 10 days and at or slightly above asking (100k). The same type/size of home listed in Q1 sells in 3 days, entirely all cash deals and some up to $1.7M over asking. Office space per sf in FiDi/Soma was barely $30 in Sept. Toured spaces today and the average was $79/sf with multiple offers up and down 2nd St. Doubt this is even close to the top. No better place to be for a builder right now but hold on tight.

I’m new to substack, but does the post views chart always look like this? First time I saw it I was like, wow!! This essay is going hyperbolic. But then I check back and it’s always this shape 🤣

Hello Video! You can update to iOS 26.4 now to watch your favorites, on Apple Podcasts. I've had the privilege of working side-by-side with many of you to collaborate, iterate, and get shows ready for distribution. To see for yourself go to apple.co/video-podcasts.

@batukrskl I enjoy using it at a component level, closing the loop between code, design, iterations, and back to code. It's also proved helpful converting the react native portions of my app to design primitives for the new in progress web version.

Designers are skipping Figma and decks and going straight to code and live prototypes. But collecting feedback during reviews is still messy. You keep jumping between the demo and your notes and lose context every time. Built a small Chrome extension to fix this. Select any element or the full page, add a note, and keep going. When you're done, export a clean report with screenshots and notes side by side. GitHub link in comments. Coming to Chrome Web Store soon.

Out of curiosity, why does anyone think aluminum OS is a big deal? ChromeOS today supports Android apps but runs on Chromium as the OS What new capabilities will swapping to Android allow, given the main benefit of Android (apps) already run?
Jaydan Urwin@jaydanurwin

@mweinbach This and the MacBook Neo kind of feels like they're prepping to fight off Aluminium OS.

Apple released the first version of macOS (known as Mac OS X back then) 25 years ago today. It's crazy to see how far it's come! What do you hope to see in macOS 27 later this year?

Sad to hear about Chuck Norris! He came to Iraq during the height of the war to boost our morale. He had legendary status, some humvees even had stenciled paintings of his face on them!

iOS developers: How long is App Review taking for everyone these days? It is now taking longer to get our app approved than it is to build the actual features.
