Thought Jaydee Canvot was exceptional today. Increasingly comfortable defensively, becoming wiser by the minute. Marshalled the Newcastle frontline expertly. 19 years old, 28 appearances and 1863 minutes this season. There have been blips, but Marc Guehi’s departure has proved beneficial — exposing Canvot to regular football at the highest level, earning vital experience and enhancing his development. His class on the ball is undeniable, frequently driving forward from centre-back. Played a significant role in the leveller, having been on similar ventures throughout the afternoon.
