@NotHoodlum So what if Iran got a nuke? The whole premise of obtaining nuclear weapons is a long-established reality with an acronym of MAD; mutually assured destruction. If Iran were to use an atomic bomb, they would be annihilated and they know it so like everyone else, they'd never do it.

@Acyn If @marcorubio has set these conditions, the answer is simple. Withdraw your forces and go home. If the USA stays there, forget about the strait being open as before. Iran is a civilization over two thousand years old and will not lick Donald Trump's boots for any reason; ever.

Rubio says the goal now is to return the Strait of Hormuz back to the way it was: But our preference is for these straits to be opened to the way they're supposed to be open— back to the way it was—no mines in the water. Nobody paying tolls. That’s the goal.
