Patients with drug-resistant epilepsy (DRE) who have been on two or more medicines and continue to have seizures may require surgical therapy. We created a survey to help patients and families take matters into their own hands. #EpilepsyAwareness luketomycz.com/epilepsysurgery

Excited to publish a thorough review on partial and total posterior quadrant disconnection for Seizure, The European Journal of Epilepsy. This is a powerful tool in the epilepsy surgeon's armamentarium with high rates of seizure freedom. #ecom0001" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Lambert et al. suggests that interictal epileptiform discharges may lead to disruption of memory consolidation in NREM sleep. This may be a mechanism through which interictal spiking within mesial temporal areas causes accelerated long-term forgetting. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/ep…

Just launched a professional website [luketomycz.com] thanks to design help from engineering student Dhvani Mistry. On this site, we have a questionnaire that patients can fill out to assess the likelihood they may be good candidates for epilepsy surgery. Check it out!

#Epilepsy IS very dangerous and needs to be treated expeditiously and effectively once it's identified. The more frequent the seizures, the higher the risk of death. If you know anyone who is struggling with epilepsy, please reach out via direct message. #PediatricEpilepsy #hope
