@Ludibris I'm guessing you'd want your blues to be instants as Oscilio so they don't clog up your arsenal, though?

@BrambleSpark I think it will be quite a tricky format. Lots of instant speed threats in late game means a lot more measured play early and rewards tracking pitch stack. I don't think the heroes are as aggro as people are expecting.

...in the form of Embodiments and Ponders but everyone already creates Lightning Flows, so that doesn't seem like much of a mechanic. It used to be Instants and Embodiments in Rosetta between the two, but so far instants have been spoiled for Zyggy and indirectly Oscilio. Ideas?

Wonder if Sigils make a comeback? Bouncing auras could be Ziggy-Oscilio thing. Or maybe just Instant Auras? Or "big" arcane damage (>1) Aurora-Ziggy attack more than Oscilio, making stuff like pump cards relevant? Hard to say much yet Aurora-Oscilio create aura tokens... [3/4]

Ended 10th at 4-2. Incredibly rusty after not playing almost at all since pre PQs. I have to pick a faster, simpler deck after such a break

@BrambleSpark I think disruption is a sub category. But I put stuff like mask of momentum in this class, and I dunno if mask is disruption

We need to collectively come up with terminology for cards who's purpose is to present a negative value proposition to the opponent Cards that don't necessarily increase our own value, but instead threaten to reduce the value of our opponents cards Cards like CnC, CLF, or Bonds

@HowlingMines Yeah I heard that and that's amazing. The speed at which LSS innovated around (arguably in olden times not-so-great) FaB limited was looking really good so I'm hoping there's another step or two forward in these sets

I'm hoping these 2 RTNs revive my love for this game. I've been on hiatus since prepping for a PQ and then missing the train to the only one I could get to. So the last time I played a real tournament was August. Really wishing the summer set brings back limited in a big way

@MinMaxGames1 And I'm guessing it's one of those where most consumer research points towards more products or at least the sales growth figures point that way. So resisting it for some possibly imaginary burnout prevention could be a tough sell

@BrambleSpark There is a very unique balance that needs to be made between consumer burnout, and holding consumers attention.

I haven't been playing mtg for a long time (I think I stopped playing paper before Lorwyn and later popped in and out of arena for a few years) so I haven't followed the release schedule. I didn't realize they're up to 7 sets per year now 😮 worried this is FaB's path as well

@Clemme9k Mastery Packs are single-class sets, though? So there will be 5 already in 2026

@BrambleSpark I don't think FaB will go to seven sets per year. I like the way they do things now with 3 sets plus armory decks.
