Let’s flip the scenario for a moment. Imagine Iran killed Trump in the first 5 minutes of the war, established air superiority over the US mainland, wiped out the entire US Air Force, US Navy, killed half the Cabinet, flattened the US military industrial complex, then started building runways in Missouri to land Iranian troops without losing any casualties. Would you say it was a US victory if the US managed to keep the Panama Canal closed throughout this all?

The problem under the current SAVE Act bill is that it’s not just about showing a government-issued ID like a driver’s license. You have to show an ID plus a birth certificate, or you have to show your passport. That is excessive.
I can get on board with showing a driver’s license or some other form of government photo ID, like a military ID, which also is not accepted by itself under SAVE, but what is proposed here is going to make voting far harder for the average American.
The problem is that I think the average American believes all that will be required under this law is a standard photo ID. They don’t understand that a government photo ID alone is no longer going to be good enough. And I think you guys in the Republican Party know that, you are playing on that ignorance.
I bet if you conducted a poll and asked specifically whether people would support the requirement to show a birth certificate or a passport to vote (because a photo ID such as a driver’s license or military ID wouldn’t be enough) Americans would be against this en masse.

You literally replied to a video that shows he does not go for or draw his weapon until she stops reversing and starts forward. I think it’s awful she’s dead, but claiming something contrary to what is clearly in the video footage is ridiculous.

Yeah, that’s literally not. What happened you’re looking at the video there she reverses an angle away from the officer in front of her very clearly trying to go down the street. It’s not in dispute or debate by literally anyone except you apparently. Slow the video down you can see the officer draws while she is in reverse. You look at the reverse an angle the officer is not struck by her vehicle rather, he uses his hands to spin off the vehicle and fire shots both through the front windshield and the side. If he had been struck, he would’ve been thrown forward. I don’t know why you’re doing this, but misrepresenting something that literally everyone can see from every video angle is a bit odd

AGENT) doesn’t dive into anything. There are multiple angles. You can see here where she doesn’t vague contact. His hands are on the hood of the car or at least his hand is on the hood of the car after he draws his weapon. He uses that to push off of the vehicle and slide slides to his right
if the car had in any way, struck him, he would’ve gone in a different direction. This is just basic physics and also you can see it from multiple angles.

So. In your version, the agent dove into the car in order to initiate contact as a defense for murder. Considering she hit him, how does it matter the direction of her “veer” (a very generous term) of the car as she intentionally drove into/through a federal officer?

I am always hesitant to make sweeping conclusions based on short video clips, but it does not look to me like the driver was trying to run over the officer, which makes self-defense a dubious argument. The cops can't kill you based on an entirely unreasonable fear for their safety.
On the other hand, it looks like she was trying to flee the scene, which may have justified some kind of police response. I am doubtful that wildly firing at the driver of a moving vehicle was the correct call, though it may be permissible from a law enforcement perspective, if she was trying to get away.

To all of the MAGA Republicans and ICE defenders who are claiming that this woman in Minneapolis, Minnesota, tried to run ICE officers over with her car before they shot and killed her, here is the actual video.
As you can clearly see, there are three ICE officers to the side of her car, and she slowly pulls away as they shoot her in the face. This is Trump‘s America.
