@0xLalice @thsottiaux I completely agree, it is weird. I haven't ran Windows, i think in 15 years. Did I hear something about Windows adopting some linux kernels? You cant argue, nix is solid and thats why its as deployed as much as it is. Love the codex-cli and i am on a 40 core GPU M4 MBP

In a way, I don't feel behind because I use openclaw + codex-cli. I wouldn't change my setup even if their new apps were ported on Linux. But I don't even have the chance to test the new chatgpt work apps and all the things they recently released. Feels weird a bit. Devs are massively on Linux.

@0xLalice @thsottiaux Years ago I gave up on Windows, loved my *nix boxes but had to run the adobe suite for work, so I went to Apple. Expensive, but I feel like i get the best of both worlds. Sucks they left the nix guys behind.

@thsottiaux I'm repeating myself but I suppose Im not alone : you abandonned us, linux Users - and a lot of devs are Linux users for obvious reasons. Port the whole suite to Linux. Why is it not a priority is beyond me.

Rest assured that GPT 5.6 Sol will stay in the ChatGPT subscription you pay for. Including Go, Plus and Pro subscriptions. At least until we ship an even better model.

The US government is going to destroy the American AI industry. OpenAI just confirmed that GPT 5.6 will release in a limited preview to a small group of partners. The government is approving access customer by customer. Anthropic got hit harder. Fable 5 and Mythos were suspended entirely two weeks ago. Two government interventions in the same month. Meanwhile China ships GLM 5.2, Kimi K2.7, and Qwen 3.7 as open weights to anyone with a download link. The US is gating its best AI. China is giving it away. We are losing this race in slow motion. This needs to change.
