Explain to me why the insurance company will pay $2500 for an MRI when there is a center down the street that will do it for $350 ?
IreneMD,MBA@moylubimykroko

@mcuban Drug spend, incl hospital drugs is only 14% of total HC costs. Blaming insurance is convenient, but ins don’t set prices; they pay the bills providers submit. HC costs are high bc provider charges are high & rising fast. If you want to control costs, focus on providers, not ins

@SeedOilDsrspctr Depending on the fence style and stain you may have to back brush it. Get more stain that you think you'll need. I've done exactly 1 fence with a borrowed sprayer for what it's worth...

New update: Ok some sick freak just posted a pair of (not making this up) moc toe cowboy boots. I have never seen a footwear abomination like that in all my days, & now I'm going to try that TPOT trauma release thing.

@jon_stokes Looks like an axis. No season in TX. Judging by water in the background could be Hawaii. Invasive there. Don't know the seasons there...

“What was the secret, they wanted to know; in a thousand different ways they wanted to know The Secret. And not one of them was prepared, truly prepared to believe that it had not so much to do with chemicals and zippy mental tricks as with that most unprofound and sometimes heart-rending process of removing, molecule by molecule, the very tough rubber that comprised the bottoms of his training shoes. The Trial of Miles; Miles of Trials.”

Today is AML World Awareness Day. This year, about 22,010 people in the United States will be diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), like Anna. By sharing experiences with this blood cancer, LLS aims to help us feel more connected and less alone. We can support patients, families, advocates, and researchers by raising awareness of AML and helping people understand its impact and the available resources. Reach out for support here 👉 bit.ly/4juLBs0

Exercise during chemotherapy isn't just safe-it can profoundly improve outcomes. Patients who exercise during chemotherapy experienced: - Reduced fatigue and anxiety - Better sleep quality - Improved tolerance to chemotherapy and fewer dose reductions - Lower recurrence rates and better survival up to 8 years later Research shows that aerobic or resistance exercise during breast cancer treatment can improve physical fitness and body composition. Exercise isn't a panacea-some studies, including animal models, show variability. But the benefits generally outweigh the risks as long as patients can personalize the dose and intensity with their oncologist.
FoundMyFitness Clips@fmfclips

Breast cancer patients who exercised during chemo had a lower risk of recurrence and death up to eight years later This is a game-changer—not just for survival but for the healthcare system, too Each recurrence costs about $1 million, making exercise one of the most cost-effective interventions available

Interesting one from this morning. These are the 2nd and 3rd samples. First sample was HRV of 6.9, which could indicate I was nuked or illness was inbound As I feel fine and have had two moderately-easy days, I sampled again 6.9 => 7.6 from sitting up taller, I was slouching a bit. Marco Altini has written about orthostatic stress when testing (see his blog that I'll thread). Then I went to the bathroom and came back for the third sample. As I write in Chapter 10, the signal I am looking for is HRV down and stays down. When I am tired, or about to get sick, my overnight average HRV and my morning sample HRV will be down and it will not move around with additional samples. If metrics are moving around, I feel fine and training is going well then I'm good. I don't get wrapped up in the specific score. I have a normal range and if I'm in that range, things are fine.
