Welcome, Coach Jackson! #goirish☘️ Coach Stephen Jackson has been a dedicated member of the Tennessee wrestling community since 2008. A proud alumnus of Gibbs High School, he competed under the guidance of Coach Tim Pittman and Coach Bill Smith. Following high school, Jackson continued his wrestling career at Cumberland University, where he trained under Coach Todd Allen and Coach Andrew Nicola. Bringing a wealth of coaching experience, Coach Jackson began his career at Stratford STEM Magnet School in Nashville. There, he led the Spartans to a berth in the team state championship and coached two TSSAA state placers. After earning his college degree, Jackson returned to his roots at Gibbs High School, joining the coaching staff as an assistant. His leadership contributed to Gibbs securing its first-ever team and tournament state championships. In 2023, Jackson became a volunteer coach at Knoxville Catholic, and in 2024, he was officially named an assistant coach. Known for his commitment to building character through sport, Coach Jackson believes wrestling instills discipline and teaches athletes how to overcome adversity—lessons that extend far beyond the mat. Coach Jackson has twins named Hadley and Hayes and his wife Brooke is the head volleyball coach at CAK.
