After 5 years in Pennsylvania, Summer and I are coming home next month. I’m excited to announce that I will be the next Director of Communications and Media Relations for the @NCHSAA We are thrilled for a new chapter in our lives and to be able to raise our daughter in NC.

You know what, go ahead and build that new arena. Build it a long way away from campus, nobody wants to see this anyway.

I hope Sienna pulls it off, but right now, I have a perfect bracket.

Dearest wife, Day eleven of the campaign. The 31st contest has commenced. The arena floor is worn like a battlefield and the people cry for yet another game. I long for rest and quiet.

Bentley is THE definition of a teammate. Period. A phenomenal young lady who has matured so much this season; she was the "hype" person on this team and will be sorely missed!

@NickStevensHS @NFHS_Org @MurphyNCFootbal Very happy that Coach Gentry is going into the National Hall of Fame. He was in my first NCHSAA Hall of Fame class. (I submitted his nomination for the NFHS Hall, which basically means I dressed up his NCHSAA HOF nomination and added some materials).

Wrapping up game notes tonight & I will send out credential info tomorrow. Please note! LJVM is stepping up security for everyone. Bags, including cameras, will be searched. If your name is not on the media list and you only show a credential, you will be asked for photo ID.

@RSceizina I don't make the decisions. I would say that nothing is off the table for the future, but using locations like LJVM costs money, and multiple sites would require additional staffing, both internal and external.

@BrandonMoree Can you go to more than 1 site at some point?

There are 8 classes, two genders each, when did y’all think we were going to play these games?

@SCSportsReport @camwillsports Of course, it's important to learn from how things go in the first year of the new classifications.

This is year one - after any event strong leaders evaluate all events - explore ways to make it better and never forget the mission of the event or organization or whom they actually work for Creating hardships for families and academics is a negative. I’m sure they will realize that and find the best way to address it. There’s a big world outside that window

@camwillsports @SCSportsReport I don't make the decisions. But I do know that travel considerations and fan base size were factors in deciding the schedule for this week. It's hard to make everyone happy, I wish we could.

@SCSportsReport @BrandonMoree Truth of the matter is, @BrandonMoree and folks at the NCHSAA try to do what is best and with 8 classifications, boys and girls, it’s hard to find a schedule that will meet everyone’s wants. 🤷‍♂️

Media registration for the @NCHSAA State Championships is now open. It will close on Monday at 9 a.m. Please fill it out in time. I have received over 50 late requests for regionals. Once games start, I won't be able to accommodate late requests.

I’m running the live stats at ECU. So if they are wrong, I don’t really know how to do this. Also don’t call me for the next 10 hours or so.
