"The most interesting thing for me will be the financial report. The NCHSAA was already losing money ever since it had corporate sponsorships stripped down to just championship/postseason by the N.C. state legislature. With eight classes comes twice the revenue but... also twice the expenses?"

By comparison, there are more schools in the @NCHSAA playing boys volleyball than boys lacrosse.
There are also more schools in the NCHSAA playing girls flag football than girls lacrosse.
Both of those sports aren't sanctioned (yet) by the NCHSAA.
That vote is next week.

Not a good trend for high school lacrosse in NC 🥍6 boys teams who played a full season in 2025 did not return in 2026 🥍at least one more boys teams did not finish the 2026 season and forfeited out 🥍4 girls teams who played a full season in 2025 did not return in 2026 The growth of the sport was soaring in the last decade, but feels like it's topped out. Maybe when it's an Olympic sport (well, Lacrosse Sixes that is) it'll set off a new growth movement. 118 schools in the NCHSAA play boys lacrosse 102 schools in the NCHSAA play girls lacrosse

Do you run a Card Club for Kids? Have a school/teacher that uses cards for clubs? I want to hook you up! I’ve created multiple boxes of base cards from football, basketball, baseball and entertainment cards and I want to get them in the hands of kids in the hobby!
I’m not looking for anything in return, I just want to help grow the hobby. I’ll take care of all the shipping costs. I’m sorry I do not have tcg/Pokémon and I can’t separate out by sport. Boxes come as they are and each box has a TON of cards. Also huge shoutout to @blakejamieson who sent along some cool cards from his collaboration with @Topps to add to each box.

Having a win slip away on a GWC or late race caution is frustrating, pretty sure we have all been there at some point. Not disregarding that. Each race situation is different 1st to last. We do our best to be respectful in what we can control from spotter/driver perspective and how the races are playing out. I know Lambert see’s the respect difference given from our race perspective the last few seasons. Unfortunate it played out the way it did yesterday.

I have spotted for RWR for 3 years & also have won many races on the biggest stages with the best teams the last 26 years in this sport in different capacities & series.
This group works their tails off every week/weekend just like every other operation, maybe even harder.
I know when it comes down to the end of these races our driver/team give respect to the leaders & never impede on any front runners battling for the win or positions.
Unfortunately today we had a tire go down 10 laps after some wall contact, 38-71-8 were all on our lap at that moment, we felt it out for a few laps, seemed to be ok to complete the event distance. Obviously that didn’t shake out… tough deal.
We will always race to the end with respect & continue to do so moving forward. 👊🏻

Here's what may have led to Cody Ware's spin coming to the white flag: He got in the wall with ~12 to go struggling on old tires Cody's last stop was with ~65 to go, so his team was running very long to the finish and Cody was the "freest I've been all day" as it progressed. Then, he slapped the wall in Turn 1. "The car finally got me. It's been stupid free this whole run. I don't know if it can hold on." Cody asked a little later if they made an adjustment on their last stop. The 51 crew took two tenths of air out of their left rear, "only because we're going so long." The right rear, of course, finally let go as the leaders were getting ready to take the white flag. "I think the right rear finally gave up." "10-4. Do you think it just blew, or do you think you had one going down?" "No, it blew ... We were driving off the right rear that whole run. I mean, it was terrible. We were stupid free that whole run." Bad timing for the leaders and it also ruined Cody's race. He had been on the same lap as Kyle Busch and competing for position with the 8 car on that last run.

Flying home with a DI team and I swear half the roster had a parent on the same flight. As we deplaned, parents were right there waiting for their kids as they stepped off. This is wild.
