Actually, there’s more historical evidence for Jesus rising from the dead than for most events from antiquity. Multiple eyewitness testimonies (1 Corinthians 15: 3-8; also see Josephus, Tacitus), the empty tomb (His enemies never produced a body), and hundreds of fearful skeptics transforming overnight into fearless martyrs. That’s not “stories”,That’s public, verifiable history. As for “threats of damnation”…that’s called the just consequence of rejecting the One who gave you life and a conscience to begin with (Romans 6:23). God doesn’t delight in the destruction of the wicked (Ezekiel 33: 11), but He does offer a free pardon in Christ.
So the question isn’t whether the warning is “passive aggressive.” The question is whether or not you’ll look at the evidence honestly instead of hand waving it away.
