.@NYC_DOT deserves praise for a big connector w/ 2-way Lafayette. But they ALSO deserve praise for smaller connectors made w/ less fanfare. I rode this new-ish 1 block extension of BK's Eastern Pkway that would feed naturally to the @PitkinAvenue connector I pitched in 2015!

More space for🚶‍♂️ Better connections for🚴‍♂️ We’re upgrading bike connections and pedestrian space from Lower Manhattan to Union Square. Improvements include a continuous two-way protected bike lane, expanded sidewalks, and safer street crossings.

Last month we sent a letter to the @NYCMayor and @NYC_DOT urging them to prioritize a people first redesign of Dekalb and Lafayette, providing faster buses, safe east/west bike routes, and safer intersections. Our local elected officials joined in signing.

I maintain that the single most insufferable thing about New Yorkers is that they bewilderingly try to claim everything. This transcends politics—all New Yorkers do this. Yes, everyone has coffee. Everyone has convenience stores (nicer than your “bodegas”). Everyone has what you have and it’s usually cleaner and cheaper!

@ScottforFlorida @TheLeoTerrell @NYCMayor The St Patrick's parade has always had a no politics rule no signs for being gay or the IRA it's about heritage if Mamdani can not do that don't invite him. There are few things left where politics is not at the forefront the St Patrick's parade is one of the last things left

@dylanypyen Your own photo disproves your point. The cameras are on the side streets after the on ramp and before the off ramp so they can’t nab anybody getting on or off the highway.

i really like the mezzanines on subway platforms. the whole system is liminal obviously, it transit, but mezzanines are DOUBLE liminal. transitional zones between transitional zones! no one waiting for anything, not even an entrance to the surface, just a weird tunnel to nowhere

@helplessdelta Well this isn’t true so there’s that. The proposal is if you get hit by an MTA bus and you are 51% at fault, you don’t recover anything. Currently, if you were 51% at fault and the bus driver 49%, the MTA covers 49% of your damages, not 100%.

Today has been pretty intense. Thank you all for your support. I'm going to sign off for a bit, but I want to leave everyone with some thoughts. People on the Right tend to use pseudonyms on social media because we have well-founded concerns of death threats, attempts to get us fired from our jobs, attacks on family members, hacking, SWATting and all other manner of evil (and often illegal) mischief from those on the Left, up to and including being murdered for our free speech. People on the Left tend to use their real names on social media because they know that people on the Right tend to respect the rule of law and the basic dignity of other human beings. We are not the same.

I don't think Hegseth here is proposing the US forces to do war crimes. I think he's too stupid to realise that giving no quarters is a war crime and not simply a really cool expression. Yes, I know he went to Princeton & Harvard.
