journal entry 3-3-26 natives was originally scheduled to launch on this day, 2 years ago. i'd been working on it for a few months, sharing progress and behind the scenes fomo was insane after i revealed "the list", a mint list of mostly friends i had made through the years of being in the crypto space. many were successful founders/artists/traders/personalities in their own right. the focus shifted from what i was making to 'how do i get on this exclusive list????' i still deny it being an influencer list as there were many smaller accounts on it, but with 175k followers and only 729 spots to give away, 99.6% were left off and felt some resentment at this point i felt i couldn't match the hype or expectations. the most likely scenario was a pump and dump before the event even started on one hand, what's the point of making a cool project if no one knows about it? on the other, marketing had overshadowed the art and story i had hoped to tell the solution to this is still not obvious to me btw. i no longer share works in progress. i create in secret, and think 'this would a fun event' alone before moving onto something else blockchain art experiences keep NFTs refreshing, and i'm well positioned to create them given reach + technical ability. i just need to move past the part where i give a shit about the outcome suggestions are welcome

It’s been an absolute pleasure to work with @d33v33d0 and I think @TrophyTomatoSol is the coolest thing ever. This seems to me exactly what crypto dev fees are meant for. Interesting question + community belief = resources to find answers. Genuinely felt emotional making this video. Maybe my favorite creation ever. Many AI devs have been interested in weird supply games but Martin burned his supply day one and now just honestly uses free to fund (insanely cool) research. I’m so greatful this project exists. 🍅

There’s legit no catalysts left, nothing to believe in, btc coopted by DATS/mstr, nations not bidding, tradfi making their own chains (tempo), alt season probably won’t happen again, quantum fud, crypto as a whole tied way too much to trump/republicans and democrats probably win next election (newsom vs vance). Social fi/dapps/owning your own data/web3 failed, nfts failed, music x crypto failed, many heads of different funds stepping down all around the same time
