Lifetime Concert Diary #24@Tool Date:  August 21, 1998 Venue:  Memorial Coliseum, Portland Oregon Album Cycle:  Ænima Other Artists:  The Melvins @melvinsdotnet Bought tickets for myself and my brother-in-law, Brian Gould.  As we were walking up to the Coliseum, someone from KUFO 101 approached us and upgraded our tickets to floor (GA).  We got in and were right in front at the barricade for the whole show. #ConcertMemories #ThrowbackThursday

Great trip to TN (my first visit) for my niece's 21st birthday last week. Spent a night in Memphis, walked across the @BigRiverX, had some fun on Beale Street (BBQ and blues @BBKingsMemphis) and toured @VisitGraceland. In Nashville, saw the Parthenon, @BelmontMansion, Fort Nashborough, several record stores (including Third Man Records), and had a blast on Broadway Street (including my TN live debut with The Future Legends at @jonbonjovi's bar).

Randy Blythe is free to speak his mind and preach from his well-earned pulpit. I’m free to unfollow /mute / ignore his political takes, while continuing to enjoy his music. Win/Win

Lifetime Concert Diary #22: @RollingStones Date: January 31, 1998 Venue: Rose Garden, Portland OR Album Cycle: Bridges To Babylon Other Artists: @JonnyLangBand Misc: My wife (who was pregnant with @wmkeifer at the time) and I went with her dad, whose company had a box suite. However, the suite was behind the backdrop of the stage, so we were provided floor seat tickets. #ConcertMemories #ThrowbackThursday

Arizona is home to one of the most intense stretches of road in the country — U.S. Route 191, a remote highway that cuts through the mountains of eastern Arizona. The section between Clifton and Alpine is especially infamous, with hundreds of tight turns, steep drop-offs, and almost no major towns for miles. This part of the highway has more than 400 curves in roughly 120 miles, winding through the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest and rugged mountain terrain. With sharp switchbacks, narrow lanes, and dramatic elevation changes, it’s often ranked among the most challenging drives in America — especially for drivers unfamiliar with the road. Older locals might remember the route by another name. Until 2003, the highway was known as U.S. Route 666, which led to the nickname “The Devil’s Highway.” Because of the number and symbolism, the road gained a reputation for eerie stories and dangerous driving conditions. The name was eventually changed to U.S. 191, but the legend stuck. Today, the road is still a favorite for motorcyclists and adventure drivers, but it demands caution. With constant turns and steep mountain terrain, it’s the kind of highway where drivers quickly learn why it earned its reputation. Have you ever driven U.S. 191 in Arizona? 😳 Via Arizona Department of Transportation #Arizona #Phoenix #ArizonaRoads #OnlyInArizona #DownInnaDesert

I wonder if the left would be this upset if Joe or Kamala had killed the Ayatollah?

Lifetime Concert Diary #12@Metallica Date:  July 20, 1994 Venue:  Portland Meadows Album Cycle:  Metallica (self-titled, Black Album) "Shit Hits The Sheds" Tour Other Artists:  @SuicidalTendencies / @Candlebox Went with my brother, Tony, and my cousin, Brian. It was horribly hot and we were in a tiny car with no AC. Traffic was stopped on I-5 from the Marquam Bridge to the Meadows exit. Dudes were pissing in the median. My cousin kept trying to bribe me to ditch the concert, offering me hundreds of dollars and a steak dinner, but I steadfastly refused. We arrived late, didn't see Fight, Suicidal Tendencies or Candlebox. @AliceInChains were originally on the bill, but had to drop out due to Layne's issues. @RobertTrujillo was in Suicidal at the time, and would join Metallica years later. #ConcertMemories #ThrowbackThursday
