X is an excellent open world and the rpg is also amazing for people who try it So if you just don't like Xenoblade gameplay in general

@BraveCandy88 It has a shit story in a franchise known for strong narratives. The gameplay isnt stellar in the blade games, you put up with it because the story and characters are good but X has none of that just the tedium

@BraveCandy88 When it came out I was extremely disappointed, because we went from a game with such depth of story and character to X with a completely different focus. It took me years to eventually come back and even finish the game. It's okay not to like things that don't fit the series.

@BraveCandy88 I got about 15 hours in twice and I have never hated an open world game as much as XCX. I wanted to like it so much. It’s one of the few Wii U games I got day 1.

@JacksAndPokemon @BraveCandy88 Early 3D games style animations in most story Cutscenes (ppl stand in a circle, talk and wave with their arms), annoying characters, no VA in sidequests, level roadblocks to continue main story, main character without any personality...
For ppl who love XC for the story, X sucks.

I even pushed through to the skells (30h roughly).
Open world is fire, combat is okay, but the story and characters are ass.
I was not just bored, I was straight annoyed. I love the main titles, but X? No.

@BraveCandy88 I gave it about 15 hours. I felt like I was doing menial chores and had only gotten a single story quest unlocked. It makes me sad because that quest (the forest place) was a lot of fun.

@BraveCandy88 It's also a technical marvel, I still can't believe they made a game look like this, run smoothly on a WiiU. And it's because Xenoblade Chronicles X existence we got BotW. Without that game, Monolith soft wouldn't have the reputation they have now
