Removing Cal Poly - unusual case in a 2-bid conference - how the committee used RPI/DSR. [1-16 is easy to determine; 17-41 uses the snake methodology] NCAA didn't mention it, but they may have leaned DSR in the last 8. NC State aligns with this correlation. Still RPI lean.

Now that the host is locked up, Mississippi State should be seeded higher than Nebraska, Kansas, West Virginia, Southern Miss, and Oregon. The ones projecting Mississippi State to be the 16th seed are the same ones who thought they should get bumped by Arkansas as a host.
