@Bread73331389 It depends on company to company. In our case, we look for a person ability to implement an algorithm efficiently. However, we do not look for advanced DSA type questions. Basic sorting, searching, list, graphs, etc are needed.

Last 5 interviews I took for entry level data science, almost all candidates suggested LLM based solutions to ML problems. I wonder why?

I was doing my data assignment and landed on encoding categorical variables Which further lead to reading about label encoding and one hot encoding This further led to dense and sparse matrix lol And also how label encoding creates a false interdependence between categories.

I may not be that consistent in my machine learning journey, but one thing that I don't forget to work on, is myself. May it be - Gym - Improving articulation - ML/DSA Even If I am able to complete 2 of these things in a day, I am okay with it.
