Today we make the trip north to one of our favourite grounds, Chilmark CC. Always a great place to play the final game of the season at! We still have availability so if anybody would like a game get in touch! 🏏

@ActualJaguar Hi Ricky. We are now one short, managed to find a player earlier. But if one of your guys want a game they can certainly play for us!

@NBCCCIC The ground belongs to Breamore Estate so has now been handed back to them. Will probably end up being grazing land for the cows already on the marshland around the pitch. The site is a SSSI site so English Nature will also have a say in what happens to it in future.

All set for the final ever game on the Marsh tomorrow. Over 260 years of cricketing history in Breamore. Just one friendly in a couple of weeks time and then it’s the end of the road 😢🏏

A lovely gesture from Penton CC yesterday giving us a guard of honour as we leave our pitch for the very last time! Thank you to them!! The cricket community is a very good one to be a part of! 🏏❤️

And that’s a wrap on our league campaign. A last competitive game loss against Penton CC in a very close game! We finish the season 7/18 in the table. A great effort considering the availability issues we’ve had all season! 🏏

@SteveVincent1 Thanks Steve. Sadly teams without junior set ups will always struggle. Small village sides like us do not have enough kids/younger players locally to sustain the future of the club.

@Breamore_CC So sad, good luck guys, as a few have said, numbers of juniors just not about. Not enough commitment from players parents, too much choice and footy now goes on all year, and not supported enough in local schools.
