Maaaaaaaaan I REALLY want to be excited about the Steelers drafting Eli Heidenreich. He's been a name I kept coming back to all draft-season long. I hope Mike McCarthy can dial up some packages for him, because he's one of the best gap runners in the country.

@ChrisDokish I think they use Heidenreich like a Sproles. Not sure he has the frame to be a 3 down back like Warren and Dowdle. But yeah, I'd see him getting the nod over Johnson.

Kaleb Johnson doesn’t catch passes or return kicks well. He’s an inferior version of Dowdle and Warren. I don’t see the point of having him on the roster. Heidenreich should be the clear 3rd RB that gives them a completely different option.

@KJ2Burner_ I hope he overachieve but my expectations based on his NCAA play is that he'll be a backup QB at best.

@TheDavidRiveraa @relley40 That's my problem with Allar. It's not his physical talents. He's pretty good with those traits. It's his ability to step up. IMO, he won't lose you the game but he's not the guy leading the charge in those one score need a 1st down or TD situations.

We’ve got literal Steelers fans praying on a Steeler QBs down fall because he went to PSU and not Pitt Does any non Pitt fan seriously like that part of the fanbase ? I don’t have any problem with the school itself, but the fans are just always wrong.

@TheDavidRiveraa @relley40 I don't like Allar bc I saw him falter in big moments. Taking Allar in the 3rd cost us some players that would contribute right away, whereas Will Howard did not. For me it's the opportunity cost associated with Allar.

@TheJonTebay @MinkahBurgh39 100% I never root against a guy the Steelers draft. I get annoyed at both sides for blindly attacking/defending bc of WHERE the guy played. I watched a ton of PSU games last year. Just not sold on Allar's ability in big moments. All the physical traits, none of the intangibles.

@VRuoste I loathe OSU, PSU, ND and even WVU. However, I never cast dispersions on the players based on where they are from. Muth,JPJ...love them. Frazier, love him. Cam and a slew of other, love them. Just draft the best avaialable.

If you are a Pitt/Penn State/Ohio State fan, I will automatically discard your opinion about the Steelers QB situation for the sake of keeping my sanity. Hell, let's throw in the WVU fans as well for good measure.

@pitt_fan51 ARod is absolutely coming back. Mason is either being traded or cut. Steelers might hold on to him until camp injuries happen then trade him.

What I do hope the Allar pick means is Rodgers is done. Figure it out before the draft next year. Let Will and Drew battle it out. Give one of them a shot. If they pan out, great. If not, you suck bad enough and you are a top 10 pick next year.

Steelers loading up on offensive lineman is what I wanted them to do the year they drafted Pickett Reach Just build the line and run the fuck out of it like Barry Foster years and find your QB while you do it
