@AndrewAbadie I saw a lot of potential in the English kid early on last year. Great arm and great poise! Excited to see his development!!

Middleton is sitting between 95-96 mph and English is up to 94 mph. Middleton retires the lineup in order. English bounces back after giving up a leadoff single and a walk as he comes up with a strikeout and double play.

@THE1DAW And where does that leave him in terms of establishing in-roads in recruiting, NIL growth and multi-year portal strategy? Not saying he can’t do it, but he’d need to nail that part of the interview with a good plan already in place.

@BrettEagle Not missing anything…..a guy that didn’t live up to Peterson or Malzahn but still won 4 ships in 7 years in two different conferences is good in my book….

IMO this is the best, most experienced candidate…. 4 conference championships including a SBC title. We can win immediately with this mindset. He can bring Southern Miss back…. #SMTTT

@CloverleafMall Well, yeah. You’re missing my point. You realize in the 7 seasons prior to him at Boise they finished in the top 10 3 times and reached #2 in the polls, right? He has never elevated a program. And he has zero history of elevating a STRUGGLING program.

@CloverleafMall I’m not saying he’s not a good coach. But he made EVERY program he coached worse. Got handed a 10-3 Arkansas State from Malzahn and Harsin goes 8-4. Takes over Boise from Peterson and they clearly declined. Then takes over Auburn from Malzahn (again) and they are AWFUL

So YOU won’t know until they try. But the coaches know. NOTHING wrong with growing pains in a young team’s season and young player’s career.
