6 years. How has it been 6 years already? I posted this photo 6 years ago today. Do you remember how weird things got? And then they just got weirder. And then we had the sads. And then we got angry. We stayed angry for the longest time. Sure, there were moments of sadness in between, but mostly, we were just angry. Some of us still are. We all lost something. Our sense of normal. Our incomes. Our loved ones. Faith. Hope. The world shifted beneath our feet, and for a while, we couldn’t quite find our balance again. I’m not writing this to start a debate. Whether you call it a “plandemic” or believe in conspiracies or are still feeling the ripple effects today, I’m not here to fight. I’m writing this because I’m sorry. Because no matter where you stand (and I hate that we were made to believe we had to pick sides in something so human), the truth is we all went through something deeply traumatic. The whole thing was awful. And now, here we are. 6 years later. That chapter is closed, but it still feels like a lot, doesn’t it? I guess life always does… there’s always something. And somehow, we keep going. Remember March 2017? When we had to keep buckets in our showers and only flush if it wasn’t “mellow” because of one of the worst droughts we’d ever seen? Or (for me) 14 years ago, when my world ended, when my dad passed away? Or 2008, when we were told that power had to be “shed,” and suddenly, everything became more expensive? Man, we were scared. And that’s just the big stuff. We haven’t even touched on break-ups, job losses, counting our last pennies and those dark moments when we weren’t sure we’d make it through the day. But here’s the thing. You did. You survived. Maybe with a few more scars. Maybe with a little more weight in your heart. Maybe still trying to make sense of it all. But you are here. And that means something. Fast-forward to today: I woke up counting my blessings. It's a Monday. A day to "start again". A new week. I woke up before sunrise but I’m ready. I get to stand on 3 stages this week. And in those talks, I speak about good things, persepctive and happiness. And I’m actually happy. Like, really happy. I have the most incredible family and friends. Jussie, I love my people. And our pups. They make me so happy. We spent the whole day together on the couch yesterday. And I love my job. I have some really cool projects on the go with amazing clients. Big things! The 3rd Good Things Guy book is flying off shelves (I still can’t believe we've published 3 whole books). And I’m working on a new one - it’s a different one, and I might be biased, but I know you’re going to love it. Also, my poddie is doing so WELL. Like, I kinda fell out of love with podcasting in 2024. I had been doing it for 10 years already. And I fell "out of love" but at the beginning of 2025, something changed. And it's become something I am absolutely passionate about. Every interview. Every story that I get to bring to life. It feeds my soul and fills my cup. And all the stories on Good Things Guy. I am so incredibly honoured to do what I do. Oh, I’m also planning trips to the Midlands, Seychelles, the bush, the UK, Greece, Italy and Australia! I am so lucky. I am so happy. I am so grateful. Perspective is everything. The world looks different depending on how we choose to see it. So my advice today is to look at your world differently. Take stock. Find the things you are grateful for. Hold onto them. Let your heart light up. And then.. share that light with someone else. The world can be a tough place but we get through it together. Always. So today my friends, don’t be the reason someone feels small. Be the reason they feel seen, heard and supported by the whole universe. Because you pour out what you’re full of. Be kinder than necessary. Everyone is fighting battles you know nothing about. That’s it. That is my Monday Daily. Okay. Love you. Bye.

I am the luckiest guy in the world. This was delivered to me yesterday. I opened it up this morning and I “can’t even”. How bladdy cute?!? It’s called a “Trigg” and it was made by Sam Thorne. A unique, customised gift that has been so incredibly thoughtfully crafted. The shades are on point! As is the hair. It’s carrying a Good Things Guy logo. And the shirt says “OLYB”, which, you know what that stands for. It has 1 billion Woolies bags. LOLzies. And a special “heart and soul” badge (with pictures of my pups and Andrew), that actually fits inside it. The shoe also has an “A” on it. Which I guess is for Andrew too. The tag on the inside says, “Because sometimes the guy needs some good things”. See, bladdy CUTE!!! I am sure countless hours went into making this. And it was made for me. Luckiest guy in the world. And so incredibly grateful. The last photo has all Sam’s details to order your own. Okay. Love you. Bye. (OLYB).
