Chicago Bears fans need to understand that without a lucky onside kick, and a missed FG, Caleb Williams would be 1-4 against Jordan Love. All of their luck was used in 2025, and 2026 is about to be a tough reality check. Jordan Love runs the NFC North, and will continue to do so moving forward.

Even the biggest Bears fans would admit that Caleb Williams struggled often in 2025, but it's ok because he made up for it with incredible highlights. It didn't matter than Caleb had the worst completion percentage in the NFL because of the big time throws. The Bears also dropped a lot of balls! Even the biggest Vikings fans think JJ McCarthy is probably a bust. Most think he is terrible. Irredeemable. They want to give up on the 23 yr old after 10 games. But McCarthy had a much higher big time throw rate than the guy famous for making big time throws... And the Vikings (even with their much-hyped WRs) dropped McCarthy's passes much more often... So yeah. Looks like there might be a few reasons to believe in McCarthy as an NFL starter.
