Bidirectional paper path flaw. Scanner and printer share the same feed, allowing the device to read and rewrite the ballot undetected. The machine can physically print additional marks or change votes on the ballot after the voter's last on-screen confirmation, the voter never sees the final printed version. Malicious software could exploit this to flip votes without leaving a trace on the voter’s review screen. Audit-destroying vulnerability. Even a full paper recount or audit would count the altered ballot as legitimate, making fraud invisible. Undermines "paper ballot" security theater. The whole "trust the paper trail" argument collapses when the machine itself can cheat after you leave. This pure design flaw or purposeful feature turns this machine into a potential election weapon to steal elections.
