Went back and watched each pressure from Jalyx Hunt last fall. A few takeaways (and why I’m pumped to see him go to work alongside Greenard):
• The burst is obvious, but what popped was how quickly he’s developed a true pass-rush plan from snap-to-snap. He’s not just pinning his ears back to run the arc to try and win as an athlete (19
charted pressures to the inside compared to 15 to the outside shoulder). There are counters, active hands, better timing, and a willingness to attack unique angles.
• All the traits are there, but the technical growth from rep to rep is what’s really exciting. Several pressures also came from forcing QBs off their spot rather than finishing with a sack (WC rd vs SF) — production that doesn’t always show up in a box score but can lead to disruption elsewhere.
Pairing that development with Greenard & the bodies on the inside should create a lot of favorable one-on-one opportunities, and something I’ll be watching in camp.
