@CODPersonal @Cade_Onder I think we added the teeth system in April 2015. We just allowed you to get GOATED if you put in the time.

@Cade_Onder @CODPersonal There was this real drive to make a future, interplanetary game. They hated that we did cryptids in Extinction, and that's ultimately why I decided to shift to IWZ. That gave the design team the freedom they needed.
English

@BrianBright @CODPersonal Was a Ghosts sequel not really in the cards after it released? That cliffhanger ending always made me surprised that IW chose to make Infinite Warfare instead.
English

@CODPersonal The art in here was still from Ghosts and anything new was designer art. We didn't have any resources besides the design team to make this pitch.
English

@BrianBright So cool - Infinite Warfare looked a lot different :D
This might be off-limits but any elevator pitches for where the story was headed? I imagine Dr. Cross had a substantial role...
English

@CODPersonal This was in Infinite Warfare, which was essentially Ghosts + a few months
English

@BrianBright Extinction had so much potential and it shatters my soul to see it shelved 😔 I do have one random curiosity - was this built directly within Ghosts itself, or was the team building the prototype/foundation for Ghosts 2?
English

@BrianBright Though I won’t lie I’m glad that IWZ was made over this even though it sounds cool🙂

QUAKE III ARENA WAS RELEASED IN 1999 HOW IS ONE YEAR EVEN ALLOWED TO BE THIS GOATED

Autism Capital 🧩@AutismCapital
An entire thread about how GOATed 1999 is and we all forgot 1999 launched one of the greatest bangers ever made: DARUDE SANDSTORM! How does 1999 keep delivering!!

Bro, as someone who was gaming in the 90's, I had no idea that Crash Bandicoot was nearly impossible to run on the PS1. The developers found a way to get around the PS1 limitations, and the way they did it was sick!
This is what optimization looks like, and somehow, most modern game developers can't seem to pull it off.

@charlieINTEL to be fair, we used a primitive speech to animation tool on Tony Hawk's American Wasteland in game cinematics in 2005. It was essentially wave file driven lip flap.
English

@zDezoh Microsoft should release Extinction with all DLC by itself, also do so with Zombies in Spaceland. Put them on Game Pass
English

@IndieGameJoe keep it up bro, not sure why there is any hate on what you are doing.
English

@Grummz So much better than the invisible wall we put in Gun 😔

During the Neversoft days we would make a disc playable build every Friday. No excuses, that had to play with no big showstoppers. Send it to ATVI and anyone else that wants to see it. Then we would be chill for the weekend. Neversoft did this for 20 years successfully, although a few of us would have to be there late on Fridays, the team would have the weekend off even during "crunch". There were very few weekends people worked in releasing a game every 1 year to 6 months for 15 years. Wondering how things have changed now?

@MattWalshBlog @christopherrufo Meanwhile Los Angeles is building an 8 mile bike path for $1,000,000,000 (that’s 1 billion). sfgate.com/la/article/la-…

The Hoover Dam was built in the amount of time it has taken California to construct a small bridge for cats and butterflies. The Empire State Building was built in about a quarter of the time.

EXCLUSIVE: Gavin Newsom promised to build a bridge for cougars and butterflies in the middle of Los Angeles. The project has turned into another boondoggle, with broken deadlines and costs exploding to $114 million. This is Newsom's bridge to nowhere. city-journal.org/article/califo…
