@lesley_pizza Would be great to check out the plugin and add support for it in Event Calendar Newsletter! I sent a DM with some other thoughts/notes.

@andrewculver Flight to last year's Laracon in Nashville, where the pilot came on and said "we're going to try and cut around some storms and uhh, we'll see how it goes" (the last thing they said before we landed)
English

@tessak22 @chrislema It was a little unstable at first but has actually been quite solid for the last couple years. We do have completely unobstructed views of the sky which probably helps, and in one of the early pilot areas with (I assume) good coverage.
English

@brianhogg @chrislema We did get Starlink but it’s not delivering stability unfortunately. Maybe we need to adjust stuff. Our local internet is reliable, just slow. 😔
English

@chrislema I’m going to follow up on the fibre that was supposed to be installed already! What do you even do to push those speeds?
English

@tessak22 @chrislema Better than the 6mb download we had when we first moved out here, luckily Starlink is tiding us over before fibre gets put in eventually!
English

@chrislema So jealous. I have 25mb download speed internet. No joke.
English

@aarondfrancis @adamwathan Also went to SF for Stripe Sessions in April and other than one person screaming at the sky during an early morning run down to the bayfront, all good. We did stay fairly close to the hotel and venue, though. Enjoy the trip and weather!
English

@adamwathan Things on Twitter are exaggerated? Hmm that doesn't seem right! Super pumped for the gorgeous weather tbh

@levelsio “Traps are for show, not go.” If I lift heavy things multiple times I’ll need to carry that weight around when I run :)
English

We know what heavy physical exercise did to Zuck and Meta
Meta is up 81% over last 12 months
Google by just 29% in same time, barely outperforming the S&P500 itself
Heavy exercise saves lives and companies
And no walking on a treadmill isn't heavy exercise

@levelsio@levelsio
I'm convinced Google would do better if Sundar Pichai would lift heavy weights, or do fight sports Deadlift ETF outperforms Google

@KatieKeithBarn2 Was really bad in Málaga a couple years back! Luckily we didn't have a car to worry about washing afterwards though :)

I'm hosting a free online workshop, "The Art of Web Defense," this Thursday at 11 a.m. ET.
This is _wholly_ focused on practical security considerations and is built around the real-world attacks that I've helped stop.

@chrisgarrett @lifterlms @AWeber I don't get much hassle at all (basically none) from the 20k users of the one free plugin, and most of the hassle has actually been good ideas for improvement. Requests can always be ignored but understood that it could be frustrating/demotivating!
English

I have written a plugin to integrate my @lifterlms implementation with @AWeber and I am tempted to share it, but I am also concious about how much hassle free WP plugin developers these days get from people demanding support/features.
Really didn't used to be this way!
English

@JustinFerriman I used to not send reminders but started after interviewing someone at ChurnBuster who said they did. They then stopped sending reminders lol. I think it's still the way to go. I did get a few angry customers before and if they're still using the plugin I don't think it's issue.
English

@tejones @KatieKeithBarn2 Exactly, I thought the same thing but there is an individual plan by clicking "Apply Now" #membership" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">poststatus.com/#membership
English

@KatieKeithBarn2 according to someone else, there is an individual free plan that includes the email newsletter and a few things. so i may be off a bit
English

@KatieKeithBarn2 I just say that I sell a couple products online, then say it's a digital product so I don't need to worry about shipping etc, then get more specific about it if they ask (ie. an add-on for websites to help promote their events, or "have you heard of WP?")
English

@KatieKeithBarn2 @BobWP Speaking of, I noticed wpproducttalk.com shows an invalid SSL certificate and as being offline for the last few days, forgot to let you know!
Also didn't realize you lived in Mallorca, my wife and I are in Málaga ~2 months each year :)

English

@BobWP No one in my family ever understands when I say I'm doing a podcast 😅
English

@brianhogg @wesbos hahaha “plebes” is kind of "folks", but it's used in North Mexico, Mainly in Sinaloa 🇲🇽🦐
“Plebe” is the singular way and you can use “Plebada” as a synonymous of “Plebes”.
Example: “Hey, plebada programadadora” - “Hey, programmer plebada”
English

@JustinFerriman @innerwebs @GiveWP Looks like it's not there on mine, they probably realized it was a mess :) Unless I can specify to load The Events Calendar alongside it, or a Woo extension can specify WooCommerce needs to be there, how can it ever work?
English

@photomatt @dancameron Fyi, Sprout Invoices has a pro version which you can’t necessarily track installations for.
And even if it only had 2k installations, that’s 2k people benefiting from it.
2k people is about the number of people who typically attend WCUS. If that’s low, should they not bother?
English

@JustinFerriman Español también, golf, running, and occasionally guitar :)
Español

@JustinFerriman I've only encountered this a couple times with spanish so far, vs. almost daily with french (even though I'd been speaking french since I was little). Appreciate the story and reminder to not give up especially when things are finally starting to click a bit :)
