@printrbot Nice! How does the levelling on the belt work? Does the slot in the side wall let the belt pivot? What did you use to cut the packaging?

It’s a process! This is not the final model, a true belt printer will follow with sane build volume. But I ship this week.

@Brian_Handibot Dude. I hear you. I will. I’m just gun shy. I’m building 10 printers right now and I have to buckle down and fix all my stupid mistakes! I want to save you (& me) the pain I have caused. ;) part and parcel of the process.

Imagine if one 3d printer design proved- through data and testing - to be THE superior performer among a variety of metrics. Affordable, of course. Would proven slicing settings & established filament profiles result in a repository of gcode files, alone, being available?

Despite our best efforts to create a stable, gentle incline for Hobbes to use when entering and exiting the house; the ramp was not a big hit last night….

Hobbes decided he was done with stairs this morning so today’s project became a dog ramp. He’s always hated bridges over creeks, narrow boardwalks and even just random boards lying on the ground so I knew my chances of success were slim…

@inophoo They were not afraid to speak at length about a specific topic that they were passionate about. Because I was afraid that visitors would be bored, I crammed too many subjects into my talks. If someone has travelled a long way to hear you speak, they expect a deeper discussion.

@inophoo When I was working for the National Parks in the US, I gave lectures on Astronomy. I always tried to make them too high-tech which kept visitors at a distance. The more skilled rangers gave low-tech presentations that engaged visitors and showed their personality.

久々に西粟倉の林業ツアーやったけど、正直言ってかなり残念だった。視察先でのレクチャーのほとんどがWHATの話でしかなくて、取り組みの方法論ばっかりだった。レクチャラーの魅力も薄い。参加者からの印象もほとんどない。やっぱりピークアウトしていってる。このままで大丈夫か？
