@AngelaBelcamino You don’t have to be popular to be favored over the leprosy-ridden remnants of the current administration

@LPVT802 @JoshuaAtLarge I’ll bite. The other option was in the admin that supported/financed what most the world considered a genocide. Should we have endorsed Kamala? What makes you think this wouldn’t be happening if the ‘24 election had gone the other way?

@JoshuaAtLarge The specifics of this disaster weren't predictable, but that Trump is this much of a war mongering lunatic was easy to see for everyone that didn't drink the koolaid. Or did amnesia set in and you forgot his whole first term somehow? Be well, Josh.

Joshua Smith from Break The Cycle@JoshuaAtLarge

We are now in the 11th hour of what is shaping up to be catastrophic ground war in Iran—and the silence, the amnesia, and the blind cheerleading are as dangerous as the bombs themselves. Let’s stop pretending this came out of nowhere. This didn’t start yesterday. It didn’t start with some convenient headline designed to justify the next escalation. This is the result of decades of interference, arrogance, and blood-soaked policy decisions that people in power never paid the price for—but ordinary people always do. Go back to the 1950s, when a democratically elected leader was overthrown because he dared to say his country’s resources belonged to his people. That single act planted seeds of resentment and instability that never stopped growing. Go forward to the revolution. The hostage crisis. The endless cycle of retaliation and mistrust. Then the 1980s—when chemical weapons were used against Iranians while the so-called “defenders of freedom” conveniently looked the other way because it served their interests. And in 1988, a civilian airliner was blown out of the sky—290 people gone in an instant, including 66 children. Not soldiers. Not combatants. Families. Human beings. Erased. This is the history people love to ignore when they start beating the drums of war. And now, once again, we are being told a story. That this is necessary. That this is justified. That this will be controlled. That this won’t spiral. We have heard every one of these lies before. Warhawks—comfortable, distant, untouched—talk about strategy like it’s a board game. They will never smell the smoke. They will never hear the screaming. They will never bury their children. But someone will. If this turns into a full-scale invasion—and let’s not kid ourselves, that’s exactly where this road leads—it won’t be the people shouting the loudest who pay the price. It will be young men and women sent into chaos. It will be civilians caught under the weight of “precision” strikes that never seem to be precise. It will be entire generations marked by trauma we can’t begin to comprehend. And long after the last missile is fired, the damage will keep spreading. In the form of trillions added to a debt that no one in power seems to care about—but that your children will inherit. Your grandchildren will inherit. Born into a world already burdened by decisions they had no voice in. This is what reckless power looks like. This is what happens when history is ignored, when accountability is nonexistent, and when outrage is selectively applied depending on who is holding the weapons. So no—this is not just another conflict. This is a test. A test of whether we have learned anything at all. Because if you are still blindly supporting this march toward war—if you are still repeating talking points instead of asking hard questions—then you are not just a bystander to history. You are helping repeat it. And history is not kind to those who knew better, but chose not to care. May we all be forced to reckon with that. May God have mercy on us all.

The reactions say everything: A 19-year-old kid was hanged in Iran for protesting—silence from the left. A regime leader dies—and suddenly the outrage is everywhere. Crickets for a kid. Loud for a regime leader. Think about that.

A post like this just makes me sad. He sees it and thinks his Son is being taken care of when in truth his Son is about to be in mortal danger. If it were for our country it would be one thing but it's not. Regardless, I pray all our troops stay safe and get brought home asap.

As most of you know, my son is a Sailor. He sent a picture of his lunch yesterday from the galley. I’m thankful that we are finally taking care of our men and women in uniform. 🙏🏻🇺🇸
