Positive and Technical is a 326 page 60mb document containing some of my favourite active-travel iinfrastructure photo tweets from the past 10 years. Some big moments are chronicled for those who care about that sort of thing. drive.google.com/file/d/14UmzNS…

Graph of the day from this doc, which IMO is well worth a read. Interesting to see methodology of outliers on traffic incidents and air pollution. PA benefits are obvious slam dunk for AT. itf-oecd.org/improving-qual…

@bricycle Ooh. Where's this? Would love to see proper quality segregated cycle path along Thames between Kingston and Richmond. Bat friendly lighting would be needed.

Bat friendly lighting in a bollard. Why? Just because I love them.

@bricycle I’m over there in a week’s time. Can you have it all sorted by the time I get back? 😉 (I’m genuinely dreading coming back)

@RantyHighwayman It's a bit more of a standard deal in rural areas. Even with big flows. Agree about the network approach in cities and towns though.

After two weeks checking out rural 🇳🇱 I have become a fan of no centre line and advisory cycle lanes in a 2m 3m 2m layout. Pic shows a centre line being removed to accommodate this slow passing and overtaking arrangement. It is not ideal but cheap and effective in remote places.

@bricycle Like this a lot. (Even better if the cycle lanes are red.) Any idea what the maximum daily traffic volume would be to make it work?
