Ahead of the final this weekend, we’ve had a full year of two Irish on the floor at all times.
Some stats to think about:
Teams PPG avg
22-23 80.4 (1 American)
23-24 84.2 (2 USA)
24-25 88.2 (2 USA)
25-26 86.7 (2 USA + 2 Irish on floor)
@conormeany Had Sean not gotten injured he would have been there again this year, he was averaging 20 ppg when he got hurt. Should be mentioned at end of year for the season he was having before injury. Played more games than some players who were.
@conormeany I think the role needs some new blood and a fresh start and outlook. Kevin Young was interested, I spoke to you about it Conor. I wonder what the time commitments are? He still is.
@conormeany We have to stop reinventing the wheel over and over again. A number of years ago the teams had ownership, each team bought into it (financially). The onus was on the teams and it worked. I don’t know what happened or why everything changed?
Reflecting on the weekend, and some of the comments I’ve seen publicly & privately im convinced that the Leagues need a strategic plan that is created in partnership between the clubs and BI. How do we ever change the current situation unless we have a step by step plan to do it?
What’s that?..oh just @BballIrl’s Claire Melia starring end2end for 🇪🇸 club Baxi Ferrol in 1st leg of EuroCup semis v Lyon tonight! She was game’s MVP, topscoring on 27 points😱
Baxi won 93-62 so carry 31pt lead into 2nd leg in 🇫🇷 #womeninsport#womeninsportIRE#greenmeansgo
Last nights ending in Tralee…
The game is tied and Stephens misses the potential game winner, Eanna get the rebound and inexplicably try to throw the ball the length of the floor.
The ball hits the roof so Tralee get it back with 0.8 seconds and Stephens hits a 3 to win!
The key to peak performance is being in the present moment and focusing on one play at a time. Most mistakes happen when you're thinking ahead or dwelling on the past.
