One of the biggest mindset shifts in Excel is understanding "Cell References"
Most people learn formulas like:
=SUM(B2:B10)
…but don’t really understand *why* formulas behave differently when copied across rows and columns.
That’s where Cell References come in.
There are 3 major types:
📌 Relative Reference → `A1`
📌 Absolute Reference → `$A$1`
📌 Mixed Reference → `A$1` or `$A1`
And understanding when to use each one changes everything.
Relative Reference (`A1`)
This changes automatically when copied.
Example:
If you copy:
```excel
=A1+B1
```
down one row, it becomes:
```excel
=A2+B2
```
Excel assumes you want the formula to move with the data.
Best used for:
✔ Row-by-row calculations
✔ Totals
✔ Repetitive calculations across datasets
Absolute Reference (`$A$1`)
This locks both the row and the column.
No matter where the formula is copied, the reference stays fixed.
Example:
```excel
=A2*$F$1
```
If `$F$1` contains a tax rate or exchange rate, every calculation will always reference that exact cell.
Best used for:
✔ Fixed rates
✔ Constants
✔ Parameters
✔ Tax/discount calculations
Mixed Reference (`A$1` or `$A1`)
This locks either:
* the row
or
* the column
but not both.
Example:
`A$1`
→ Row is locked
→ Column can change
`$A1`
→ Column is locked
→ Row can change
This becomes extremely useful in:
✔ Dynamic tables
✔ Matrix calculations
✔ Forecast models
✔ Advanced reporting structures
The interesting thing is this:
Most Excel mistakes are not formula mistakes.
They’re reference mistakes.
People think Excel is “calculating wrong” when in reality the formula is pointing to the wrong cells after being copied.
That’s why understanding references is such a major turning point.
Once you understand how Excel thinks about references, formulas stop feeling random and start becoming predictable.

I've always had a publicly known bias. If you didn't know this about me, then welcome. 🙏
It is a principle by which I lead my affairs. As long as the person isn't committing a crime, I would gladly cling to this bias.
People make lapse in judgement, publicly goof or emotionally spiral when the approach requires tact - I know this because I do, too.
If they're not defrauding people like Oleomo of Derby, whom I was previously cool with - silence is my prerogative.
This was my position with Datti. Your momentary lapse in judgement won't make me mentally erase the sacrifices you've made in the past.
If I can't call it out, I won't defend it.
👑S.A.L.A.K.O🕊@UnkleAyo
This is a bias which I acknowledge. When he had his recent public meltdowns, he was in the wrong. He did too much. I didn't speak against it. Others did and that was enough. My position in the glare of my bias is: If I can't speak against it, at least don't defend it.

Open Apology Letter to the Obidient Movement
My Dear Obidient Family, I come before you today with a heavy heart, deep humility, and no excuses. Some time ago, in a moment of frustration and immaturity, I wrote and released a resignation letter as Director of Mobilization. In that letter, I allowed deep frustration & personal emotions to cloud my judgment. I made statements that subtly and unnecessarily dragged Peter Obi, a man I still respect for his vision, integrity, and sacrifice for this nation. That was wrong. It was childish, and beneath the standard I should have upheld, especially as someone who once held a leadership position in this movement.
I take full responsibility. No one forced me to write it. No one edited it. It came from me, and it was a mistake. I deleted the letter afterwards, but I know deletion does not erase the damage, the disappointment, or the loss of trust many of you felt. I understand why some of you no longer respect me the way you once did. You had every right to feel let down.
To Peter Obi himself (fondly called PO): Sir, I am sincerely sorry. My words were not a true reflection of the values of sacrifice, accountability, and constructive criticism that you preach. I failed in that moment. To every single Obidient, the ones who stayed grinding, the ones who defended the vision even when it was tough, the ones who felt betrayed by my actions, I am deeply sorry. You are the real heroes of this movement. Many of you are young people full of hope and fire for a better Nigeria. You didn’t deserve to see internal cracks turned into public drama. I let you down.
I am not writing this because I want something or a position in the movement as I’m enjoying private life. I am writing it because it is the right thing to do. Leadership is not only about when the road is sweet and smooth; it is also about owning up when you mess up. I own this fully. I am committed to rebuilding trust through consistent actions, not just words. But I also know trust is not demanded, it is earned back slowly, if at all. Thank you for reading this.
Whether you accept my apology or not, I respect your feelings and your right to hold me accountable. The love I have for a better Nigeria has not changed. You all know me. My respect for the Obidient spirit remains. I am sorry truly.
With humility and hope for forgiveness,
Your brother in this struggle,
Morris Monye.
Oya come let’s hug. 😊

Blessing, I just watched the two interviews you used to conclude that Tinubu is more intelligent than Peter Obi.
If what Peter Obi expounded in that interview does not strike you as intelligent, then your character and judgment are questionable.
Here is the summary.
[00:03:01 - 00:04:32] Principles Over Party:
Obi justifies his political movements by citing Winston Churchill and Raila Odinga, arguing that a party is merely a "vehicle" to a destination.
He posits that one must change vehicles if the original is no longer headed toward the goal of a better society.
Why should you stay in a place that will eventually not benefit the whole country?
[00:05:10 - 00:06:01] The Primacy of Process:
He argues that the process by which a leader attains power is "far more fundamental" than their subsequent actions.
He asserts that if the process is "faulty" or compromised, he chooses to leave the organization, as he did with the PDP.
You cannot do a good thing through a bad process. This is a statement of integrity.
[00:14:41 - 00:15:48] Character over Ambition:
Obi emphasizes that his political shifts are not transactional or for personal benefit.
He maintains that he has never forged documents or lied to facilitate a move, framing his career as one of "consistent behavior" dedicated to the poor.
Then he went to economic insight. This was the highlight for me:

You made a fair point about sample size (that’s why we have the likes of taro yamane and coachrane formula).
But no matter how good your sample size is, if your sample is not a good representation of the population characteristics, your analysis is wrong
Emmanuel Paul@eruskkii
I think there’s a misunderstanding of how statistical analysis works. 200 million Nigerians doesn't mean you must sample 2 million. Once a sample exceeds a certain size, diminishing returns sets in. The aim is the get a representative sample. So Piggyvest even went beyond. If
