My mum passed earlier this afternoon. To many she was a former teacher, politician, broadcaster, author but to myself and @CllrAengusOrour she was our mum. She loved us to bits ,taught us to respect everyone, to be honest , to work hard and study hard, to love our family.

Fingal County Council has made an order for the temporary road closure of a number of roads
in Fingal, following an application from the Events Department. The purpose of this closure is to facilitate St Patrick’s Day Parades across the county.
Fingal County Council regrets any inconvenience caused in relation to this matter.

We wish to advise that works are set to commence in the Ushers Lake Area of Ward River Regional Park from tomorrow (Thurs 7 March). It is anticipated that this phase of works will take approximately four weeks to complete.
This is being undertaken to remove excess mud from the historic paths in order to facilitate access to and enjoyment of the park.
Alongside this, we will be investigating the presence of any remnants of Brackenstown Mill.
During these works, temporary path closures and diversions will be in place. Entering a works area creates a significant hazard to persons, other park users and the contractor as well as causing delays to the works programme. As such, we kindly ask that park users respect and do not interfere with the boundary fencing erected by the contractor.
These works are part of the ongoing Ward River Regional Park Development Project which will help create a vastly enhanced public amenity covering an area of 80-hectares (200 Acres) between Swords town centre and Knocksedan Bridge.
Delivery of the Regional Park Project will help meet the demands of a growing population in the county town, as well as providing an appealing destination for visitors to Swords.

@WardValley @Fingalcoco @DarraghButler @careyi83 @GravesAnn @humphreys @CllrDeanMull @JoeNewman_Cllr @AdrianHenchy @AnthonyLavin @AoibhinnTormey @davidhealyv It has only been designated a regional park in the latest development plan but I expect everything a regional park requires to be installed in the park over the time frame for this plan.

Unfortunately just 2 hours after reopening on Wednesday, the public toilets in Ward River Valley Park were vandalised again and are now closed. Access to public loos are a necessity for many people and this persistent destruction presents a terrible introduction for people visiting our parks.
If anyone has any information relating to the perpetrators of this ongoing damage to public property, please provide it to @gardainfo
