Rabhadh Báistí Buí
Tá Met Éireann tar éis Rabhadh Báistí Buí a eisiúnt do Bhaile Átha Cliath go dtí 3pm Dé hAoine 6 Feabhra. Tá rabhadh aimsire ann freisin maidir le báisteach throm don tseachtain. Le linn na tréimhse sin, is féidir go mbeidh tuilte abhann, tuilte áitiúla, agus dálaí dúshlánacha taistil ann.
Meabhrúchán tábhachtach sábháilteachta duit: fan glan ar bhruacha abhann, ar shruthanna agus ar chanálacha, toisc gur féidir le leibhéil uisce ardú go han-tapa. Déan cinnte de go bhfanann leanaí agus peataí an-ghlan ar uiscebhealaí agus ar aon limistéir faoi thuile. Agus ná déan dearmad ar an gcomhairle ó Gharda Cósta na hÉireann: “Fan Siar, Fan Ard, Fan Tirim”.
Tá súil ghéar á coinneáil ag an gComhairle ar leibhéil na n-aibhneacha agus ar dhálaí cósta, agus táimid i dteagmháil rialta leis an nGrúpa Náisiúnta Comhordaithe Éigeandálaí de réir mar atá an drochaimsir a thosaigh le déanaí ag leanúint ar aghaidh. Tá ár bhfoirne fós ar fuireachas agus tá siad réidh le déileáil le haon fhadhbanna tuilte. Mar réamhchúram, cuireadh málaí gainimh i roinnt áiteanna chun cabhrú le haon tionchair fhéideartha a laghdú.

The rain has eased after a rough few days of downpours and big waves, however a Status Yellow Rain Warning remains in place until midday.
Ground is saturated, rivers are high, and more rain could mean localised flooding and difficult travel conditions.
According to @MetÉireann we’ve had between two‑and‑a‑half to three times the usual rainfall this week — but the hope is that the weekend should be a bit drier.
Regardless, please take care - stay back from riverbanks, streams and canals. Water levels can rise quickly. Keep children and pets well away from flooded areas. As the @IrishCoastGuard says: “Stay Back, Stay High, Stay Dry.”
Council teams are monitoring river and coastal conditions, staying in touch with the National Emergency Coordination Group, and are on standby. Sandbags are in place in key areas.
We’ll share updates on any road closures or diversions via our social media channels.

It's wet and is going to be for a while yet. With this miserable weather continuing, @MetÉireann have now issued a Status Orange Rain Warning for Dublin. That is in play from 12pm today until 12pm tomorrow.
There will be periods of very heavy rainfall falling on ground that is already saturated, combined with high river levels and elevated tides, we can expect to see some localised flooding, possible flooding along the full length of rivers, and difficult travel conditions.
High spring tides (around 1.45pm), combined with the forecast rain and potential storm surges means there's risks of wave overtopping and flooding in coastal areas.
A key safety reminder for everyone: please keep your distance from riverbanks, streams and canals, as rising water levels can happen very quickly. Make sure children and pets stay well away from waterways and any flooded areas. And remember the advice of the Irish Coast Guard: “Stay Back, Stay High, Stay Dry.”
We are keeping a close eye on river levels and coastal conditions, and we’re in regular contact with the National Emergency Coordination Group as the weather goes on. Our crews remain on standby and are ready to deal with any flooding issues. As a precaution, sandbags have been placed in a number of locations to help reduce any potential impacts.
If you need to report flooding, fallen trees or similar issues, please call Fingal’s Emergency Line on 01 890 5000. This is the quickest way to make sure incidents are logged and dealt with promptly by our teams.

High spring tide today at 1pm
High spring tides today and in the coming days combined with strong winds and surge, may cause wave overtopping and some coastal flooding in the Fingal area. The current high coastal water levels will impede river discharge and may increase flood risk in low-lying areas especially at high tide which is expected at 1pm this afternoon. The public are asked to take head of signage on road flood signage and report any flooding to 018905000

There's @MetÉireann Status Yellow Rain Warning for Dublin from 3am tomorrow (Thurs 5 Feb) until 3am Friday (6 Feb), with the risk of river flooding, localised flooding and difficult travelling conditions.
Alongside High spring tides over the coming days, combined with strong winds and surge, may also cause wave overtopping and some coastal flooding in the Fingal area. High coastal water levels may slow river discharge and increase flood risk in low‑lying areas, especially around today’s 1pm high tide.
Please stay back from riverbanks, streams and canals, and keep children and pets away from all waterways and flooded areas. Remember the Irish Coast Guard advice: “Stay Back, Stay High, Stay Dry.”

Recent prolonged and heavy rainfall in the River Liffey catchment has caused a significant rise in water levels at the Poulaphouca Reservoir. As storage capacity there is limited, @ESBGroup have advised that they may need to release some of the excess water, resulting in higher flows in the River Liffey. This could cause flooding along the river, including the Strawberry Beds area in Dublin 15.
As a precautionary measure, the council has placed sandbags along the Liffey from the Strawberry Beds to Laraghcon to help mitigate any potential impact. We continue to monitor conditions closely, and our crews in Dublin 15 are on standby to provide assistance if required.
If you need to report flooding, fallen trees or similar issues, please contact Fingal’s Emergency Line on 01 890 5000. This ensures incidents are logged and dealt with promptly by our teams.
We ask that issues not be reported via social media so they can be addressed as efficiently as possible.
