"According to the sources, #Iran is proposing a "complete freeze" on uranium enrichment activity for a period of up to 15 years. After that period ends, it would be permitted to resume enriching uranium at a low civilian-grade level of 3.6%, under a principle of "zero stockpiling," meaning no enriched uranium inventory." If this is true, Iran's position is softening. Only a few weeks ago, Iran was offering only a complete freeze of uranium enrichment activity for 5 years. The blockade is working. Keep the pressure on. israelhayom.com/2026/05/03/ira…

Whatever they’re trying to do, IRGC isn’t doing it fast enough. They are incapable of reversing the balance of power, the blockade is costing them millions every day.

Exclusive: Iran has continued to mine the Strait of Hormuz during the ceasefire, European security assessments indicate, according to an ambassador who spoke to Faytuks Network under condition of anonymity.

"Several Iranian dual nationals told The Sunday Times on condition of anonymity that they had been approached in the past year by Iranian intelligence services, including the ministry of intelligence and security and the intelligence arm of the IRGC, both in the UK and while travelling in Europe, Turkey and #Iran. Some reported being threatened, while others said they were offered money in exchange for gathering information in the UK and, in some cases, for carrying out violent acts against targets on British soil." thetimes.com/article/c724d0…

I am connected through Starlink from Iran to warn the world about the evils of the Islamic Republic. As I have shown in my previous post, the regime has escalated Starlink hunts. The Islamic Republic is now openly offering 300 million toman — roughly $2,000 — to anyone who snitches on a Starlink user. Report the location, report the usage, and they will pay you blood money to help them hunt us down. They are desperate. They are terrified of our freedom. They are hunting people like me because the truth is leaking through these dishes and they know it will end them. This is the same regime that just beat an innocent father to death for using Starlink — just like I am right now. I sleep with one eye open every single night. The fear is suffocating. But I will not stop. And now an Iranian lawmaker openly admits the truth: the internet is still shut down because they are afraid of internal uprising. They said it out loud. They know if the Iranian people can see what is really happening in the world, if we can talk to each other freely, the whole rotten system will collapse. They are trying with everything they have — blackouts, bounties, torture, murder — to keep 90 million of us in the dark. While we live in this endless nightmare of neither war nor peace. While economic pressure is destroying every family. While their Chinese-style tiered internet and “White Simcard” loyalty system decides who is even allowed to breathe real air. For 47 years they have tortured, raped, executed and lied to us. We danced in the streets when Khamenei was removed because we finally tasted hope. That hope is still alive — and it terrifies them. We are willing to endure the arrests, the beatings, the blackouts, the hunger, the daily threats to our families. We have endured 47 years of hell. But only if the nightmare finally ends. But we will never accept that our suffering is in vain. #DigitalBlackOutIran#IranMassacre#KingRezaPahlavi‌ForIran

Why is it bad when President Trump does it? Do the Democrats, the UN and NATO allies hate President Trump or the Iranians, or both? In 2011, Obama launched a 7 month airstrike in Libya without congressional authorization, stating it was a limited humanitarian operation, not a war. He bypassed Congress entirely, claiming UN and NATO approval was enough. The conflict ended with Gaddafi’s death. He called 2000 deaths a massacre. But when Iranians are screaming through an Internet blackout after the regime slaughtered 45 thousand people in just a few days, with 1000s of videos to prove it, and when they execute protesters indiscriminately on a daily basis, the Democrats, the UN and NATO countries all side with the barbaric regime. And Iranians are even pro America and pro western values. So Why don’t Iranian lives matter to them? Why does President Trump have to go through so many hoops when the Islamic regime is also a threat to the U.S. and the world? @POTUS @marcorubio

We all care for humanity. We all support people fighting for freedom. But what is happening to ordinary people in Iran right now is beyond the pale. It has been for many years. As we enter day 64 of the regime enforced internet blackout disturbing news has emerged of a father, Hessam Alaeddin, beaten to death simply for having an @elonmusk made Starlink terminal. Please read below from inside Iran. Do share if you can ⬇️
Siaxares 🇮🇷 سیاکسارِس@siaxares

Speaking an Iranian still inside Iran, writing this through Starlink while my hands are literally shaking with rage and grief. Sometimes, I can’t hold back the tears anymore. Look at this poster they’ve plastered on every street corner [first image]. The Islamic Republic’s latest public death threat: Starlink, satellite dishes, VPNs — all illegal. Use them and you will be punished to the maximum. Phones crossed out. Dishes crossed out. Even the word “Starlink” in blood-red letters. They are openly hunting us for daring to seek truth. And they just proved they mean it. This innocent Iranian father [second image] was using Starlink — just like me — to get real news for his family in the middle of the blackout and get the censored information out to the world. They arrested him. They tortured him. They beat him to death. A father. A husband. A man who only wanted to protect his children from the regime’s lies. I am using Starlink right now to write these words to you. Every single day the regime’s agents threaten me. Every single day I know I could be next. My heart is shattered. My soul is on fire. The fear is real and it never leaves. But I will not stop. My country is on the line. My people are on the line. 90 million Iranians are suffocating in this 47-year nightmare. We are living in hell — neither war nor peace, economic pressure crushing every family, their new Chinese-style tiered internet and “White Simcard” loyalty system deciding who is even allowed to see the outside world. And now they are literally killing people for trying to connect. We have endured massacres, rapes, executions, and grief for 47 years. We have buried our sons and daughters in the streets. We danced and cried with pure joy when you removed Khamenei because we finally saw hope. This father’s blood will not be in vain. We are willing to endure everything — the blackouts, the arrests, the torture, the economic pressure— if it means the Islamic Republic finally falls. Anything to be free. Anything to end this evil. President Trump, the free world — see what they are doing to us? Keep the pressure. Do not look away. The Iranian people are watching, bleeding, and still standing. The Lion and Sun will rise again. For this father. For every father. For every son and daughter who still dreams of freedom. We will never forget. And we will never forgive those who helped the butchers. #IranMassacre#IranWar #KingRezaPahlavi‌ForIran

In the UAE the laptop would never ever be touched. No place is safer and more secure. Once I was taking cash out of the ATM in a Dubai mall as my young daughter pulled me to look at a nearby store forgetting my card AND cash in the machine. I ran back five minutes later: my money and card still there in the buzzing machine with a line of people waiting to use the ATM and not one person had touched my cash. True story.

🇨🇳🇫🇷 A French guy left laptops in public spots around the world to see how fast they'd get stolen. Paris: 8 seconds, India: 12 seconds, New York: 25 seconds, China: never touched. He was speechless. So are we.

1/ @vali_nasr says Trump is ditching the nuclear issue to "settle 47-year scores", and opening the door to Global South colonial revenge wars. That's not analysis. It's regime apologetics dressed in academic language. 2/ Iran sent a proposal to reopen Hormuz and end hostilities, while sidelining the nuclear file entirely. Trump rejected it. Why? Because the bill is real: 47 years of hostage-taking, terror financing, proxy wars, deal cheating, and direct attacks on US forces. Hormuz access alone doesn't cover that tab. 3/ The war opened on Feb 28 with strikes on nuclear and missile infrastructure because talks were Iran’s deflection preferred game. A regime that chants "Death to America" while racing toward the bomb is an ongoing security crisis, not a historical grievance. Colonialism is a settled chapter. Iran's behavior is today's headline. Nasr's equivalence collapses on contact with the calendar. 4/ "Most of humanity" doesn’t support Iran's nuclear sprint or its blockade of a waterway that moves 20% of global oil. Much of the world, quietly, wants this regime contained. Trump's position after military degradation: the era of weak deals that kick the can is over. Consequences, finally, have arrived. But Vali sadly prefers spin over facts.
Vali Nasr@vali_nasr

So Trump is saying war should continue because scores must be settled for what Iran has “done to Humanity, and the World, for 47 years.” That is a new objective for this war and implies its beginning or end had nothing to do with the nuclear issue. It is also makes the case for every country, especially in the global south abused by colonialism, to reopen the file on their old grievances, and line up to wage wars to settle old scores. It seems most of humanity opposes this war Trump wants to wage on their behalf and may be more interested in talking about other abuses of humanity.

1/ A false binary is being sold as geopolitical realism: Gulf states must choose between absorption into Iran's sphere or subordination to Israel's. The Abraham Accords already answered this question, and the answer is no. 2/ UAE normalized with Israel in 2020. Bahrain followed. Morocco joined. None surrendered sovereignty or became an Israeli client state. All three retained full agency on Palestine, deepened Asian ties, and continued hedging between Washington, Beijing, and Riyadh simultaneously. Normalization produced transactions, not subordination. The evidence is in. 3/ The same logic applies to Iran. For 45 years, Gulf states have lived next to the Islamic Republic, absorbing its proxy pressure, its missile threats, its sectarian influence operations, and none has been absorbed. Geography is not an absolute destiny. Wealth, air defenses, and diplomatic sophistication are real variables. 4/ The question "does the Gulf need a hegemon?" assumes the answer is a convenient yes, while the GCC's actual record tells a different story. Qatar, up till recently, maintained serious channels with Tehran, while hosting the largest US air base in the region. Oman, mediated between enemies without joining any camp, before the Iran war. UAE projects military and economic power from the Horn of Africa to the Indian Ocean independently. These are not weak states waiting to be organized. They are sovereign actors already setting terms. 5/ Saudi Arabia carries genuine undismissable demographic, geographic, and religious weight. But weight is not hegemony, and hegemony is not consensus. The 2017 Qatar blockade, Riyadh's most explicit attempt to enforce GCC conformity, collapsed. Smaller states held, the U.S. didn't bless it, and Qatar emerged stronger. Consensus in the Gulf has to be earned, not declared. 6/ The actual Gulf model, forged through crisis, war, and acceleration, is strategic autonomy, not a single state organizer, or protector or a dominant revolutionary center. Multiple powers, would selectively engage without a permanent alignment, or enemy, with leverage as the operating system. The rest is gaslighting.
Vivian Nereim@viviannereim

"In frank terms: if the choice for Gulf populations is binary—absorption into an Iranian sphere of influence or subordination to an Israeli one—then Saudi Arabia is not merely the best available option; it is the only one around which Gulf consensus could coalesce," Mira Al Hussein argues here: antiwarreport.substack.com/p/does-the-gul…
