Just to be clear I have no issue driving to Hermitage. I've proven I'll drive all over the state to cover D-10 teams. The Hermitage Complex is still developing, it's not near the atmosphere of Behrend
This is one of the bigger mistakes by District 10 I can remember in a long time

First and foremost unfair to the kids. Also this hurts recruiting. I’m hearing games will be spaced out and you’ll be asked to leave and renter? No one will stay. Come on D-10.

I'll just say this, I really respect D-10 and the tournament directors. It's not easy running a tournament at all....but moving Memorial Day softball out of Behrend would be a big mistake. 99% of the people I've asked about it have been really upset about the possibility. 1/2

@ETNreisenweber There is something about the atmosphere at Behrend that makes Memorial Day so special! One of the nicest kept fields in the area, amazing press box, and I could go on. It would be a shame to even consider such a change and take away from the quality of the girls’ experience.

Villa Maria's softball win means the softball team will be the final team to wear the Villa Maria uniform. The Victors play for a D-10 title Monday and in the PIAA first round on June 6, leaving them as the final Villa team before the athletic program turns into Cathedral Prep
