The left’s argument for birthright citizenship is obviously insane but it’s even more insane when you consider that they actually don’t believe in your or my “birthright.” We are on stolen land and don’t belong here, according to them. But the anchor baby whose parents got here from Guatemala 10 seconds ago has a “birthright” and is tied to this nation by blood for all time. That’s actually their position. It’s so psychotic that you can’t even argue against it. Like trying to have a political debate with a dog. These people are not rational.

Idk… something about watching doomers and accelerationists melt down over every minor thing doesn’t exactly inspire confidence in their ability to handle Democrats retaking the White House and Congress, packing the Supreme Court, opening the borders, granting mass amnesty, making PR a state, and delivering the usual 9% inflation + energy spikes that follow. Pick a lane. If minor turbulence breaks you now, the “burn it all down” fantasy won’t feel so based when you’re actually living in it.

The left would have a much better argument about birthright citizenship if Section 1 of the Fourteenth Amendment did *not* contain this limiting clause (emphasized below in all caps), which the left chronically ignores: “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, AND SUBJECT TO THE JURISDICTION THEREOF, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.”

@kim_chee27 Two reasons. It’s a world market. Why would Exxon sell to U.S. refineries at $60 a barrel when Asian refineries willl pay $100. Also we import most of the oil we use because our refineries are built to process different types of crude than what we produce domestically

Can anyone explain to me why gas prices have risen supposedly bc of US attacks on Iran, when the US doesn't even import oil from there?
