The left’s argument for birthright citizenship is obviously insane but it’s even more insane when you consider that they actually don’t believe in your or my “birthright.” We are on stolen land and don’t belong here, according to them. But the anchor baby whose parents got here from Guatemala 10 seconds ago has a “birthright” and is tied to this nation by blood for all time. That’s actually their position. It’s so psychotic that you can’t even argue against it. Like trying to have a political debate with a dog. These people are not rational.

@JPBark87 @DGPsalm3 @megbasham Nope. There is no U.S. law that says a child of two foreign nationals can be born a U.S. citizen. Not only does the 14th exclude foreign nationals, U.S. federal law already states that in order to be born a U.S. citizen, one of your parents must be a U.S. citizen at our birth.

I don’t know what the Supreme Court will decide on the question of birthright citizenship. But I know this, if the courts continue to enforce practices that increase chaos, destruction, and division within the United States, like allowing 1.5 million Chinese nationals to vote because they happened to be born in an American hospital, people will very soon stop respecting the courts. And then things will really get dangerous.

@JPBark87 @DGPsalm3 @megbasham And their slave parents belong to the United States. Try and keep up. The 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments were literally written for the freed slaves & their children. No one else. Did you skip U.S. history class in school? They are called the Civil War Amendments.

@JPBark87 @DGPsalm3 @megbasham It isn't an argument. It happens to be true that a child of two Mexican parents is also a Mexican citizen. Neither are U.S. citizens. You pretending you don't understand that is lame.

If "subject to the jurisdiction thereof" simply means "diplomats," why didn't they just say that? I just can't get past that question.

@Spring177542202 @DGPsalm3 @megbasham “14th amendment was for slaves” Your argument now is that the child is the property of their parents… When people owned other people that was called slavery. Thank you for bringing this full circle and proving the child is covered under the 14th amendment and is a citizen.

@Spring177542202 @DGPsalm3 @megbasham Well that would depend on the country’s laws. In the US the child is a US citizen. The parents would not be citizens yet because they were not born here or naturalized…

@JPBark87 @DGPsalm3 @megbasham Don't be ridiculous. If two citizens of a foreign country are in the U.S., legally or not, & give birth, their child is a citizen of the parents country of citizenship. The parents are not a nation. The parents nor their child are U.S. citizens just for being on U.S. soil.

@lannywarwick2 @DGPsalm3 @BedOfRoses @megbasham And yet it is statement like that, that cause problems. I know republicans don’t hate the country, but just have a different idea on how to make it better. It is idiotic to think that a massive group of people hate the country they are apart of.

In the next decade, over 1M Chinese communists will be able to vote in American elections. You heard me. Thanks to birth tourism, Chinese billionaires are paying surrogates to birth their children on U.S. soil so the babies are American citizens. The children are taken back to China after birth, raised as communists, then when they’re 18, they’re allowed to vote in U.S. elections. THAT is why birthright citizenship must end. 1M votes swings any election. Soon the Chinese communists will “legally” control our elections. Unless we end birthright citizenship.

@DGPsalm3 @megbasham It is in the Congressional record. The writers of the 14th clearly state that "and subject to the jurisdiction thereof (the U.S.)" means you cannot already be a citizen or subject of any foreign country. It's in the Senate record. The 14th does not apply to foreign nationals.
