This isn't just a nintendo thing, there's a huge phenomenon of game devs refusing to make sequels that actually follow up on their predecessor's story (even for narrative heavy franchises) because every installment needs to be a potential "entry point"

@Bringodile @NINtendo_maya A lot of Pirate's Curse's plot rely's on Risky's Revenge. Shantae not having her powers, the source of the Pirate Master's dark magic, Rotty's subplot, and Ammo Baron's takeover of Scuttle Town are all things that rely on Risky's Revenge for important context.

Reasonably priced too. I don’t think $10 or less is a lot to ask for a PS1 game.
Unfortunately, it’s going to be a damn shame when this store eventually closes.
I still use my PS3 and Vita. If you want legal digital copies of these games, I urge you to get what you want now.

There's also so much garbage like I open the app as a paid user and I still see ads and garbage AI playlists and random audiobooks and podcasts
