Here are the trade facts👇 The EU has become a smaller proportion of UK exports as the rest of the global economy has grown faster. Rejoining is a metropolitan liberal fetish not supported by the facts. Although, given how useless this Labour government is, it is no surprise some cabinet ministers would rather be governed by Brussels.

THE REJOIN DELUSION We're stuck in a loop right now, but at least there is engagement now with the realities of rejoining, and how in reality the British people do not actually want to be an EU member.

A recent poll of Labour voters by Survation, on behalf of LabourList, found that 40% of those wishing to rejoin the EU changed their minds, when the need to adopt the Euro was mentioned. The obligation to adopt the Euro is now mandatory for those wanting EU membership.

A nation having control of its own laws money and borders, is not a party-political position. It aligns neither left nor right. It is a basic concept of who is ultimately best placed to make the decisions that affect the people - and how they are removed by those same people.

We started a national conversation over ten years ago, about what the British people wanted their futures to be. How they wanted to be in control of their destiny. How they were governed. What their place was in the world. It's time to properly start that next chapter. Now.
