Two of @GB_Baseball rising young stars will be among the 90 top European U19 players at MLB’s 2026 European Development Tournament being held in Barcelona in April. Charlie Battista (GB U18s and U15s) and Owen Bourgeois (U18s and U23s) have been selected to take part in the six day tournament in front of scouts from MLB clubs and US Colleges. The British Baseball Federation (BBF) has formally accepted a berth to enter a BBF Lions team into the 2026 Babe Ruth 13–16 World Series, to be held in Branson, Missouri, USA from 5–16 August 2026 (team arrival 4 August 2026).
