@mentionthewar Oh gosh this is such heartbreaking news. I loved working with Jo - such a warm, caring and brilliant person who offered words of wisdom and encouragement on many occassion. Jo will be sorely missed and I offer my deepest condolences.

@jacko_os @JamesPreservica @euanc it's a language simulator, not a knowledge tool, so it's terrible at facts and dangerous if presented as such. I asked it to write me 'a brief history of coventry city football club' - not exactly esoteric, and every single line had multiple factual errors

@JamesPreservica @euanc And the wrong headers 😄 The problem with ChatGPT for this kind of thing at the moment is that it won't admit that it doesn't know how to do what you're asking it, all I want is for it to say "I'm sorry I can't do that, Dave"

Not much to disagree with here. I think it's important to recognise that for many with long-standing 'acceptable format' policies it can be difficult to challenge or untangle these, and the ICRFF work can become a useful tool for challenging them >
