@iamabotacccount @winnerscapital @elicalebon I think the wealthy Persians are actually extremely connected to reality. They know that installing a pro-Israel monarchy is going to benefit them and no one else. That’s why the poorer ethnic minorities in Iran hate the IRGC but will still never support Pahlavi.

@iamabotacccount @winnerscapital @elicalebon Normally this “everyone and their mom and their pet cat is a Mossad agent” rhetoric is idiotic but in elica’s case I wouldn’t be surprised. Not for the money but for her hatred of Muslims.

@AnasInPalestine @History__Speaks Did they or did they not literally wipe out an entire yezidi village in Syria? Is that not enough of a cause for you? Did they or did they not ban Kurdish from schools? Did they or did they not engage in mass displacement? I bet you’re gonna deny. Predictable.

@History__Speaks Kurds (an ethnicity) and Druze (a sect) have been constituents of the Arab world for hundreds of years. Their plight is not separate from the Arab world they are part of. Manufacturing "causes" for ethnic and religious minorities has always been an imperial tactic.

Solidarity is not conditional. I hate - hate! - the positions some Kurds and more than some Druze have taken on Israel-Palestine. But this doesn't diminish my solidarity for the Kurdish and Druze communities and support for their causes.

Abdollah Veisi, the elder brother of Mojtaba and Meysam Veisi, has released a video message thanking the people of Kurdistan for their solidarity and support following the loss of his brothers. He also called on the public to honor their memory by designating the anniversary of their deaths as a “Day of Books and Libraries” and continuing the cultural and identity-based work to which they dedicated their lives. Meysam and Mojtaba Veisi were widely respected community figures, followers of the Yarsan faith, founders of the Dareh Drezh Library in Kermanshah (Kermashan), and key organizers of Kurdish Newroz celebrations in the region. They were killed on May 28, 2026, after Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces surrounded the safe house where they were staying and opened direct fire on them.

While many Islamists and pro-Palestinian supporters adore Elyanna, a half-Palestinian singer, for her 2026 World Cup song “Illuminate,” they still treat Iranian pro-Pahlavi girls like prostitutes, criticizing their wardrobe and labeling it as provocative. Funny, because they do not find Elyanna provocative when she shows her belly and belly button. But an Iranian Pahlavi supporter is expected to feel ashamed. This is hypocrisy on another level. They celebrate Elyanna while she shows her belly and dances, yet shame an Iranian woman for what she wears. This is what propaganda does to people. #JavidShah‌‌‌‌‌ #KingRezaPahlavi‌ForIran #جاویدشاه

It’s funny nobody accuses the French or English of bootlicking when they got help from the US during their wars but middle easterns suddenly are bootlickers for accepting weaponry/ help to survive. Aren’t the brown ones meant to take it lying down?

@sharghzadeh Islam has had gays? Islam can’t have gays, Islam is not a container, it’s a religion. This “Muslims actually did it first” is getting tiring tbh just admit religious extremists can be closed minded and cruel to gays, it’s not that complicated.

@Andzace @hmajd As much as it pains me, this is the most likely reality. At this point the only realistic scenario is the regime slowly softening within the next 50 years through very slow reforms.

You can hate the Islamic Republic regime all you want, you can want it replaced with a pro-west and pro-Israel secular regime all you want, but the truth is the only way that there will be regime change in Iran any time soon is with a massive ground invasion and a commitment of tens of thousands of US troops who will be fighting a few hundred thousand IRGC, Artesh and Basij troops to the death. It will not be Saddam's army collapsing as US troops marched north. That's just reality, and it appears that the Trump administration recognizes it. So everyone who is advocating for Trump to "finish the job" and bring about regime change should also admit that it will result in the deaths of many thousand Iranians and many hundreds if not thousand US troops, and may still only result in a civil war or an insurgency that will make Iraq look like a walk in the park. It's not about liking or disliking the regime: it's about reality. Any realist expert or credible analyst could've told Trump on February 28th that starting a war with Iran was insane and could be his undoing....

@bread157 A lot of the Iranian diaspora knows nothing about Iran, its real history, or the complexity of its society. Many cling to a romanticized version of the country passed down by the old generation, believing Iran could become a Western-style nation without the Mullah regime.

A lot of Iranian diaspora, especially on the older side, have an almost irrational and often vile support for Israel and/or the Pahlavis because they experienced genuine oppression under the Islamic Republic. Them being mistaken does not mean that that oppression did not happen.

One of the most brutal scenes in human history has been leaked. Footage from an Israeli aircraft shows thousands of starving Palestinians running towards an aid truck, before it bombs and kills them all. A video that the world must never forget.

Syria became a state in 1946. Lebanon became a state in 1943. Jordan became a state in 1946. Iraq became a state in 1932. All of them carved from the same Ottoman collapse. All of them without prior independent statehood in the modern sense. All of them recognized as legitimate states with legitimate populations whose rights no serious person disputes. Palestine was on the same map. The same Ottoman province system. The same League of Nations mandate architecture. The same post-war decolonization moment. The only difference between Palestine and every neighboring state that successfully achieved independence is that Palestine's territory was committed to a different political project before its population could exercise self-determination. "There was never a Palestinian state" describes the outcome of that commitment. It does not justify it.

Italian war reporter Francesca Mannocchi: “What Israel is doing in southern Lebanon is, quite simply, no different from what Russian troops have been doing in Ukraine. It’s the same thing... Since 2022, have we ever read a headline saying “Putin is building a security buffer zone in Mariupol”? No. We’ve always called it what it is: a military occupation. Yet when Israeli troops do the exact same thing in southern Lebanon, but we call it a “security buffer zone.” That framing clearly shapes perception. We are talking about the same dynamics, the same methods, the same displacement of civilians, the same destruction. And yet, on one side it is widely seen as a war crime; on the other, as a legitimate security operation. So why the difference? Because in recent years there has been a gradual erosion in how international law is perceived and applied. And it has its convenient enemies. Putin is an easy one: no one would seriously argue that the Russian Federation is a democracy. Israel, on the other hand, continues to be described, and accepted, as a democracy, even when that label is increasingly contested. Why? Because this implicates us. While we no longer feel allied, morally or politically, with Russia, many in the West still see themselves as morally and militarily aligned with Israel.”

Kurds are the only group of people who are labeled as terrorists, traitors, or boot lickers for simply having political aspirations. The only good Kurd is one who is happy with having their identity subsumed under their occupiers. The rest of us are a lost cause I guess.
