I generally post about the ongoing pandemic and, of course, basset hounds. I gave up on politics. I stay anonymous because what I post may surprise or embarrass my friends, family, or employer who don’t agree with my opinions. Believe it or not. Makes no difference anyway.

I've seen this gotcha quite a few times now: "If the Kent meningitis outbreak was caused by Covid, why is it just in Kent?" Which completely misses the point of what people mean when they say that outbreaks like this are made more likely by the damage caused by covid infections.

These guys gave out 10,000 doses of antibiotics to people including some who just went into a nightclub. And then they share this bullshit. It's just not true. No, it's not as transmissible as covid or measles, but *almost nothing is*. But it doesn't need *prolonged contact*.

@emmma_camp_ They were born into the ongoing pandemic and have likely been infected multiple times, including in utero. Each infection can result in brain damage and cognitive disfunction in addition to weakened immune systems and other health effects. Just FYI.

Axios literally reported that Israeli officials said the strike on South Pars gas field was coordinated with and approved by the trump administration. A U.S. Defense official also confirmed it. Now trump is saying the US had nothing to do with it.

Schools are doing a fabulous job managing COVID (can you hear my sarcasm?)! Let’s go run a mile kids even though you are sick with clear viral symptoms. Kid rolls in listing every symptom known to man of Covid and says they are dying: head hurts, bones hurt, throat scratchy and sore, super congested, hot but getting chills, heart trying to claw its way out of their chest. PE teacher still demands the full mile. Family and friends call it dramatic. This is not going to end well. 🫠

@Guiness_Pig My Gen X high school class has lost more people in the last five years than we did before the 30th reunion. Sure we’re old. But I’ve also lost as many coworkers in the last five years as I did in the first 25. Various ages. Definite acceleration.

Okay so the "apple a day keeps the dr away thing" might actually be true.... best way (most gentle way I have found) to get fiber and so many of us do not get enough fiber. Stop obsessing over protein and eat some fiber, you will feel better.
