So today at the theatre, a lady bought the seat right besides me in the VIP.
She didn't mean to as she thought it was separate cubicles and thought she wasn't seated so close. She apologized but I said it was all good. (Not really but I wasn't gonna be a rude about it.)
When she was ordering her food, she couldn't find her scene card and I asked the server if i could give him mine.
She looked at me funny at first but then I told her, "I get 20% off," and she was happy to let me have her points for the discount on her food.
She was my new friend after that and we both enjoyed the film.
I hope I made her day.

As a former waterbomber pilot who used to lead an aerial firefighting fleet, I can tell you “send help” is an extremely dishonest framing by the Canadian government.
The Canadian government routinely blocks U.S. firefighting companies from attacking fires in Canada, while aggressively sending their government-subsidized aircraft to the U.S. to earn commercial rates from the U.S. taxpayer. It’s big business for them and they run it like a Chinese protectionist racket.

This has been Big Climate's talking point the past few days.
The FACT is that Canada has been colder than average so far in 2026. Climate change has had nothing to do with the fires.
And, historically, most of these fires are arson.

This is what climate change looks like, by the way. We can talk about all the data, the numbers, the why, etc. But this is what it actually means. This is why it matters. Climate change didn't start the Canadian fires. But it made fire weather exponentially more likely.

I had a thought last night and I’m sure scientists have figured it out but it just occurred to me.
We don’t know what color black holes are!
Now hear me out. The easy answer is it’s black but its gravitational pull is so strong light can’t escape. They could be brighter than the sun but we would never know. We only observe the heat and light of things around them as they are sucked in.
This makes sense to me
