After 14 years in the classroom, I turned in my resignation letter with all the feelings. My admin responded simply with “Thanks for letting me know”. It’s hard to realize you aren’t valued, but it’s empowering to learn your own worth.

@PresidentPat I think the professor is trying to teach you how to write a professional email and prepare you. It used to not have to be on the syllabus because we naturally respected our professors and spoke to them as such. Sadly, that’s no longer always the case.

This year, I made my classroom somewhere I WANTED to be. I hope my students feel the same. #year14
